The students in my class need small group work to increase reading skills. They need specific work in comprehension and fluency. The Boost Comprehension Kit will allow my students to focus on specific strategies to increase their comprehension at their current level. The Think, Talk and Write Kid will allow them work on critical thinking skills and how to transfer that into their writing. Students need to not only increase their skills but also increase their confidence. Fluency allows students to read with ease and spend more time on content. The nonfiction readers are of high interest to my students. They love learning about "real" world places, people and events. The nonfiction readers are interesting and can specifically target the skills my students need to work on.
