  • Teachers Pay Teachers

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

This project helped my students especially my Calculus students finish our curriculum on time. Having readily available AP style assessments that were ready to be printed and also organized handouts for note taking gave the class more time and opportunities to focus on understanding difficult and challenging lessons in class. Since there are different sets of assessments that are available, students also had the choice to solve a set of problems that they wanted to do, and they initiated to do more practice problems beyond what they were originally assigned to do.

In Algebra 2, students enjoyed working in group using the activities we discovered in TPT specifically the Scavenger-Hunt activities as well as the CSI Clue Game tasks which they found very rewarding at the end of the task.”

    Mr. Rebong

  • A Better Classroom Environment Will Help Students Learn More!

    Funded Sep 7, 2022

We wanted to say thank you for the wonderful donation to our math classroom. I can't wait to show my students all these materials and I am indubitably sure that they will be very excited to decorate our math classroom once we receive these materials.

I am very excited to use the essential oil diffuser to help set the mood in the classroom! Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart!”

  • You Can Help Students Get Calcs in Calc!!!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

What a wonderful way to start the new year! I am very grateful for this wonderful gift. My students will be surprised to see that we have tablets to help us learn. It is such a relief to know that we have a set of classroom calculators that they can use for AP Calculus. This very generous gift will make our lives much easier and give us so much more time actually learning instead of figuring out how to use online calculators and emulators.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rebong

  • Students Can Finally See Math Concepts Connect in Different Ways!

    Funded Aug 5, 2022

I do not have the words to express my gratitude for your support for our project. We try to offer as many opportunities to our students as we can, and your support makes it possible for us to continue to do this.

Using the TI-Smartview Emulator, students can better follow instructions while they are working with the calculator at their desks and they can see how concepts connect analytically, numerically and graphically.

My students will do their best to write/draw "thank you" notes! I appreciate your interest and support so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rebong

  • Give Us the Essentials and We'll Achieve More!

    Funded Jul 4, 2022

Thank you so much for helping to fund this project! I hope that this gives many students the opportunity to use more materials and more resources in our math classroom.

Thank you again for helping to make this possible for a few more of our most needy and deserving students! Make sure to be on the look out for pictures of my students using these resources and materials.”

    With gratitude,

  • Help Me Teach Math Online!

    Funded Sep 24, 2020

Thank you so much for being a part of this great group of people coming together to support my math classes in remote learning. It has been a struggle for students to learn math remotely and these materials are so essential in helping me design lessons that are engaging and interactive. With these materials, visual representations of math concepts will be easier to see. Thank you very much for making all of this possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rebong

  • Calculators Will Surely Help!

    Funded Sep 10, 2013

My students were very thankful for the TI-Nspire/TI-84 Plus calculators that we received. They were surprised when I told them about the generous people who shared their resources and donated the highly advanced calculators. My Calculus students were so happy to use the same template when inputting integrals on these calculators. Instead of entering the parameters as a comma-separated list on old calculators, the students were surprised to see the parts of the integral on the screen and to input the function and limits of integration. They were also glad to see that they can graph parametric functions and that you can program them to rapidly compute approximations and visually show these methods. With all these discoveries, the students were very eager to spend time getting used to this new technology.

At the end of every major unit in our Calculus class, students are grouped so that they can practice rigor when problem solving. Students are required to work with one another, create posters of their original solutions and present work in front of the class. The introduction of these calculators are surely helped them find the solutions in a faster way and present their ideas in a more effective way. These calculators are also used by some struggling students during remedial after-school activities to help them practice and strengthen the skills that they need to be successful in this class.

Since I started using the calculators, concepts are much easier to teach as calculus becomes more dynamic. Students become more confident and introspective as they can devote more time in constructing their knowledge rather than spending a lot of time calculating values as the new calculators are able to perform more complex operations faster than the old calculators that we had.

Again, thank you very much for your donation and we promise to take good care of these gifts.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Rebong

My students are currently using and sharing outdated calculators that are confusing to use. They come from low-income families and many of them do not come to school with the calculator because their parents can not afford it. Over half of the students at our school receive free lunch. Many of my students are hardworking. In fact, they stay after-school for tutoring sessions so that they can borrow my personal calculator to do their homework problems independently.
