These items will be used to help my students do some micro labs in my classroom. I also wanted to show them some cool objects that can measure the weather changes we have here locally. I wanted to have enough classroom supplies like markers or bins so that I could allow my students to work in smaller groups of 2-3.
The plastic folders are needed to help my students stay organized. Many of them did not start the year with a folder to keep their paper in order, so I've currently been using manila file folders.
I also plan on using the file organizer to place copies of our assignments in order for those students who are absent. This will help both them and me!
I love using our extra large whiteboards for group collaboration and the small erasers will allow my students to work easier. I've used small rags in the past and I have to bring those home to wash them quite often.
For one of our labs we use chalk to calculate the numbers of atoms in a mole. The students really enjoy getting to draw in our quad!
I felt like our class wasn't able to move around as much, so I thought the rolling cart stand would allow more students to come to the front of the class to connect to our projector to share their work and/or answers with the class. I also added 2 power strips to allow students in the middle of the class to charge their laptops since they now bring them to class every day.
