I teach in a very low income county. We've only been given $85 for supplies. At my school there are over 60% of students receiving free or reduced lunch. My students scored very low on their initial Dibels screening which means it's up to me to give them as many hands-on experiences along with teaching them the state requirements. Children at this age learn best and their attention is retained if they are playing or engaged actively in learning experiences.
