Appreciating My Students Mental Growth Mindset
Funded Jan 20, 2024Here at PJJSC the students are really appreciative of the resources they have received. They are able to enjoy playing the games as well as have different celebrations. Some of the pictures displayed are pictures are the young women's empowerment and there was also a young men's empowerment which aligned with 7 mindsets and PBIS this year. Throughout summer school this year the provided games were a great incentive to give our students that extra push to keep coming to school. Thank you so much for all of your much needed support and help making learning engaging for our students.”

Help Our Classroom Explore Our Creative Senses and Learn!
Funded Dec 6, 2015My students are using the new resources to complete literacy activities, sensory activities, and having a great time during recreation and leisure time. My students enjoy being read the stories and they love the fact they can now interact with the characters through puppets and props. During recreation and leisure time, the students really really enjoy playing with the oversize blocks, sensory bins and other educational bins.
When my students first saw all of the new materials, they were elated. The new materials were so colorful and vibrant. They watched closely as everything was unpacked. Two of my students really took a liking to the nuts and bolts activities and it was so funny because they are the exact students I had in mind when I placed them on the list.
The next steps for my students after getting them familiar with the new materials is to have them requesting with assistive technology and make choices of what activities they would like to complete. The activities are more fun than the normal puzzles and paper and pen activities. It makes me students enjoy learning their own curriculum. They are all on their own pace and program but the activities and materials allow me to reach all of my students through just a few materials. Thank you so much for your gratitude and actually caring for students who you have never met. Just knowing you want to make a difference in the lives of my students touches my heart.”
