• A Bonanza of Reading Exploration and Practice!

  Thank you so much for funding our "A Bonanza of Reading Exploration and Practice!" project on Donorschoose.org. These Level F, Short Reads are so neat to read! The kids opened them right up and absolutely love them! They are at the perfect level for my lower level students, and are about such neat topics! We use them for group reading, for round robin reading, for pulling facts and for writing with research. My students needed authentic texts badly, so these are perfect. It is very nice that each topic in the level comes in a wonderful set, so that there are enough for each student to have their own copy to use. They are very durable, and they will last a nice long time! These was such a kind gift. We are getting so close to having the entire set, and we really appreciate it. Funding our projects for these short reads meant so much! You can see from my students faces that they just love them! These are truly such a wonderful tool, and I will get so much use out of them, now and in the future! Thank you again! We appreciate your support more than you could ever know!”

They are at the perfect level for so many of my students, and are about such exciting topics! We have already been using them like crazy, and my students just love them. We use them for group reading, for round robin reading, for pulling facts and for writing with research. • How Do I Make a Word? Super Fun Literacy Activities!

  Thank you so much for funding our "How Do I Make a Word? Super Fun Literacy Activities!" project on Donorschoose.org. I am so excited to have the Positional Word Resource Box of activities and the Early Language Folder Games. We received them this week, and they are so much nicer than I even thought they would be! They are absolutely perfect for helping my students to work on and learn the skill that they were struggling with. The positional word resource box is perfect for my younger students who struggle with concepts like over, under, in front of, behind, etc. And, the Early Language

  Folder Games are absolutely full of so many wonderful learning activities! We have already used this at least ten times in the few days that we had them. And, my students beg to play them again and again! This is truly such a special gift for my students, and it will truly provide so many wonderful learning opportunities for my students! • Healthy Goals

  Thank you so much for funding our "Healthy Goals" project on Donorschoose.org. This project has already come in so handy. My students are so appreciative of the healthy and very interesting treats they have received. As I have said before, they are working toward some super special goals, and it is awesome to be able to reinforce their efforts with a little shared treat. It is also super fun to introduce them to new interesting things like chickpeas, chicharones, seaweed and other unique items. I really appreciate your support, and Herb Kohl is definitely going to be missed in the teaching world. He has touched so many of us as educators in such personal ways. Thank you for carrying on his legacy.”

• An Exciting Assortment of Learning Materials!

  Thank you so much for funding our "An Exciting Assortment of Learning Materials!" project on Donorschoose.org! We absolutely love all of the neat things that we received for our classroom! The flexible seating chair is so much fun, and it completes our collection, so now we have enough for each child to sit in. It really makes our reading corner special! We love the greeting card. We will have a lot of fun writing special notes to practice our writing. The organizer will be fantastic for storing our stickers. The little notebooks are so much fun for writing practice! The game is so colorful and special! I will be using it with my kindergarteners today! They are super excited! And, the lightning cables will be so helpful for charging our devices. We appreciate your support so much, and I promise to make wonderful use of these with my literacy students! They are already using the chair and can't wait to get into class to sit in it to read! How fun!”

• Sprouting Some Excellent Readers and Writers!

  Thank you all so much for donating to our "Sprouting Some Excellent Readers and Writers!" project on Donorschoose.org! We are so excited to have these wonderful new learning materials! The Magna Doodle and Trace and Write Alphabet Centers are fantastic! We received them yesterday, and are already putting them to very good use! They are so nice because I can use them all day long with each of my groups of students, and they do not need any cleaning up of the writing before they are ready to use again! We LOVE them!!!! The color one works great for presenting, because it really keeps their attention and focus. I LOVE them, and so do the kids! And, they will last for years and years! My daughter has one at home from when she was little, and now my granddaughter uses it, so they keep on working! The sprouts and sprouting kit are going to be so much fun! We should have sprouts to eat in just a couple of short days! That will be so much fun for the kids! We really appreciate your support so much! Without donors like you, we could never have these neat new learning materials! We learn so much more and our experience is so much more enriching because of your support!”

My students use these in so many different ways, from marking pages, writing notes to each other, taking notes in class, to making vowel tents and sticks, and now we are all set with so many different colors and sizes. I am absolutely thrilled! What a wonderful way to help support my students' learning. Now we don't have to worry about running out. We will have plenty to last a nice long time! • Sitting in Some Super Special Seats!

  Thank you so much for funding our "Sitting in Some Super Special Seats!" project on Donorschoose.org. My students were super excited to see the three big packages arrive in our classroom! They couldn't wait to open them to see what was inside. I actually repackaged them after the first group opened them, so they could each have the experience of seeing what was inside. They were thrilled! They knew exactly what they were when they pulled them out of the packages! They were yelling out, "I love these!", "Can we sit in them right now?", "I want one of these for at home!" When I told them that they would get to use these in our reading corner, they immediately went and grabbed books and started reading. These chairs are going to be so much fun for the kids. They are durable so they will last for a very long time, and they stack very nicely so that we can tidy up when we need to. I LOVE these super seats! They were the perfect gift for my students!   Thank you so much for funding our "Let's Build Our Reading Skills! Practice Makes Perfect!" project on Donorschoose.org! These Level D, nonfiction, Short Reads are absolutely fantastic for my students' learning needs. They are at just the right level, so the students feel successful. They are about really fun, nonfiction topics, like making an art project out of paper plates or how to take care of a pet. The kids just love reading them! And, there are enough copies for every student in the group to read. They are bright colors, with nice lettering, so they are wonderful on the eyes. My students just love sitting down at our table and practicing reading with these, and they are nice and sturdy, so they will last for years to come! Thank you so much for supporting my students. We just received our new Level E Short Reads, and they are everything that we were hoping for! They are absolutely perfect for my students because they are at just the right reading level. They include super interesting topics, and my students honestly, can't wait for me to pull them out each day. This really helps to improve their reading fluency, and their interest for reading nonfiction texts, and that has a huge impact on their learning! I really appreciate it.
