I would like microscopes, slides, science games, and an electricity discovery kit to promote rigor and hands-on learning experiences. These materials will help enhance science education for my gifted students. Allowing students to actively engage themselves in real life experiences helps them understand the concepts better and makes learning more meaningful. I am the gifted content science teacher for grades K-5. I will use the microscopes and slides with my fifth grade students when we are studying classification of plants and animals. I will use the Rock Cycle game with my third grade students to help them better understand our unit on Rocks and Minerals. I will use the electricity discovery kit with third and fifth graders to demonstrate how electricity works.
