Create a Caring Community of Learners
Funded Feb 19, 2015Thank you very much for your caring heart by providing the tricycles. The students were delighted to have four new trikes. They get to enjoy riding the trikes every time the class have outdoor play.
Every day, the students participate into a fun and meaningful activity riding the trikes. They ride the trikes around the path way and they engage in turn-taking.
Riding the trikes help children to develop large motor coordination. As children practice pedaling they also learns about momentum and it's easy to go down a gentle slope, but very hard to pedal up a hill. By providing these trikes, children's gross motor skills will enhance.”

Funded Sep 15, 2014On behalf of my students, I want to thank you for donating the two computers to our classroom. My students were delighted and eager to open the package and see that they received two computers. Each day, a students is assigned to use a computer and have one-to-one instruction using a software on learning the numbers and alphabet. The computers are centrally located as a "learning centers" in which the children participate in the computer activity. This has made a significant learning gains using computer-assisted instruction, My students have learned number concepts with a computer felt-board environment. They have shown comfort and confidence in using computers. Besides enhancing their mobility and sense of control, computers had help improve their self-esteem.”

Picture Books Are One of Favorite Books For my Students.
Funded Sep 24, 2013I want to take the time to say thank you for donating the wonderful selection of books we received on September 2013. The students were delighted to see the new books. The students had the opportunity to browse through books and they were sharing ideas and experiences about the books with their peers. As children get dismissed to go to the learning centers, they prefer to go to the library area due to the selection of children's books that we received because of warm heart for donating these books to our classroom.
Furthermore, I want to share with you the activities we do in class with the materials. One of the activities is reading aloud to the students every morning as they joined the circle time. I read aloud to children because when I read aloud, children use their imagination to explore people, things, place and events beyond their own experience. The children get motivated to value books as they browse books on their own as they listen on the listening center.
The selection of books that were donated to the classroom have made easy to expand children's imagination and pleasure for reading. I want to say thank you in behalf of my students and I for your contribution to our classroom.”
