A Place for Everyone
Funded Jan 13, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation to my class! The carpet has been a wonderful addition to my class! It has really helped the students to respect each others space. It has made classroom management so much easier. The students are able to listen better now that they aren't worried about someone touching them of sitting in their space. The squares are big and colorful. It has also brightened up our classroom and made it a more warm and friendly place to be.

A Wiggle Stool for Everyone!
Funded Mar 20, 2016Thank you so much for your generous donation to my class! I am so honored that you chose to support me and my students. My students adore the new Hokki Stools. Hokki Stools have a rounded bottom. This allows the students to rock and wiggle while they learn. This has dramatically improved my students' abilities to pay attention during class. They are able to channel their energy and focus on the task at hand. My students are learning more thanks to you.

Funded Dec 29, 2015Thank you so much for your very generous donation to my students. My students adore the new art supplies. We have used the people shapes and corresponding supplies to create characters from our favorite stories. The students love to take the characters they created and use them to retell the story. They retelling has improved so much! Each child was also able to decorate a doll to look like themselves. They are hung on the wall and the students love to look that their mini-me.
We have also begun using the pots, tissue paper, and Mod Podge. We are using them to create beautiful pots for our mothers for Mother's Day. The students are always so excited when they find out it is their turn to make their pot.

Funded Mar 9, 2016Thank you so much for your very generous donation to my class! My students love the standing desk and stool! They love to stand at it and read or do their classwork. I have noticed a big improvement in my wiggliest students. Students who used to mess around during work time are now able to use the kick bar to wiggle and get their energy out while maintaining focus on the task at hand. They learn more don't distract those around them as much.

Learning About Science by Listening
Funded Mar 9, 2016Thank you so much for the wonderful books and CDs for our classroom listening center. Twice a month my students listen to stories in the listening center during our literacy centers. I wanted to somehow include more nonfiction books but I didn't have any. You wonderful donation gave me 5 different sets of books and CDs. Each set has 4 books and a CD. The kids LOVE the books. All of the books are about animals. This week they are listening to a story about Wolves. They love it! They also love to tell me and their families all of the facts they learned about the animals.

Wiggle While You Work
Funded Jan 20, 2016Thank you so very much for your generous donation to my class! My students adore the Hokki Stools! I have noticed that they are able to focus much better now. They are able to safely wiggle out their energy while focusing on a task. I have noticed the biggest improvement with my students who can never sit still. These students were never able to do more than one or two math problems before they would be walking around the room to get a tissue, talk to a friend, or get a pencil. Now they are able to sit in their desks for a longer amount of time.

Regular Chairs are Boring! Help Us Wiggle!
Funded Mar 11, 2016Thank you so much for your wonderful gift to my classroom! I was so surprised and excited to see that someone had funded my project! When I told my students that we were getting more Hokki Stools they all started cheering! One of my students shouted, "That is the nicest person ever!" Thank you so much for showing them how much others care about them and their education.
I have disbursed the stools to my wiggliest students who have a lot of trouble paying attention. I have noticed that now they are able to wiggle while they work without distracting themselves or the students around them. They are having an easier time paying attention to my lessons which helps them improve their academics.
Thank you so much for the wonderful gifts that you gave to my class and all of the other classrooms you supported! You cannot even imagine the excitement at my school when all of the teachers found out that their projects had been funded! There was a lot of excitement that day!

Becoming an Architect in First Grade
Funded Jan 14, 2016Thank you so much for your generous donation to my class! My student love being an engineer and building wonderful creations with the items you gave us. The kids especially love the Magna-Tiles. They have built all sorts of fun things. Today one of my girls built the Titanic! She was yelling, "Who wants a ride on the Titanic?" Not sure if she knows what happened to the Titanic! The girls also have a wonderful time building princess castles! I love seeing my girls so excited about building.
Again, thank you so much for caring about my students. They were shocked that people they don't even know wanted to buy them something. They appreciate it so much! Thank you!”
