  • Writing Daily!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

We are very grateful for the donation we received. My students will use the notebooks and pencils to write daily. This year they will learn and write 3 types of writing from Narrative Writing, Informational Writing to Opinion Writing.

The notebooks we received are color coded . We use the red for Spanish, blue for writing, black for reading, yellow for math, green for science, and purple for social studies. Color coding each subject is easier for the students to write in the right notebook and not get confused which notebook they should write on.

"One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way."-Frank Smith. As an Educator, I believe that learning how to speak in two languages will open the doors to success. Being fully bilingual in Spanish and English can give a child an opportunity to communicate and socialize with other kids their age. Reading every day is essential for building reading skills, vocabulary, and life-long reading habits. The more time students spend reading at his or her independent level, the better reader he or she will become.
