Read That For Me Again
Funded Jan 30, 2012I would like to sincerely send out my appreciation for the thoughts and efforts of all those involved in making the additions of these items possible for my students. They have truly been excited over the learning opportunities afforded to them with the implementation of iPad 2's to their curriculum! With budget deficits throughout the District, we would not have been able to afford the purchase of the cover/stands and earphones. My gratitude goes out to the Wasserman Foundation for believing and supporting students no matter the needs, disabilities, or location. In their eyes, all students are important!
The covers/stands and ear phones have made the handling of these priceless additions to the Learning Center easier for our students to manipulate. I no longer have to worry about them falling on the floor, dents, or glass cracking. I feel that the cover/stands will allow them to remain operable for years to come! (Especially when we do not have the funds to replace them!) Also, the earphones allow for the noise reduction of 10 ipads going at once! (Truly Helpful!).
Again, thank you to everyone who helped support our Learning Center)”
With gratitude,
Ms. McIntyre

Funded Aug 1, 2011I would again like to thank you for supporting our "Families that Read Together, Stay Together" program. It is so important for our students to maintain familial bonds while spending quality time together with other family members whether brother, sister, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, or cousins. it was my hope that parents would take more of an interest in their child's educational experiences if giving a viable path. It seems to be working. The children are very excited to take the books home!
With budget cuts increasing in schools and lack of funding to maintain open libraries, this program is the only way students can check out books from our school site. My students look forward to receiving books that are based on their independent reading levels. It gives them great satisfaction and purpose in knowing that they can indeed read when given high interest books at their reading ability.
So again, thank you for supporting our schools Learning Resource Center. It is people like you, who take an interest in increasing literacy for our students, that makes a difference in the life of a child.”
With gratitude,
Ms. McIntyre
