This classroom is a special education classroom with about 12 students with noted disabilities ranging from mild to moderate disabilities. My classroom has about 4 behavior challenges who enjoy the technology, however, caring for and maintaining the iPads has become challenging. In teaching them responsibility to care for items that peak their interest has helped tremendously. The school is a title 1 school where the poverty level is quite high. It is challenging for these students to come to school with supplies and bag ready in hand to work, but when it comes to technology, their interests are high. Some iPads have been destroyed or cracked. Learning to prevent a error from happening is helping our students learn about care and prevention.
