  • Tablet Trek: Exploring New Horizons in Education

    Funded Sep 26, 2024

My students and I thank you greatly for your generosity and support with academics and language development. With the technology, your support provides my students, you’ve given them wings to soar! With a 1/3 of the class being English language learners, your contribution has given them fair playing field.

    Thank YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Boodramsingh

  • Comfort and Showcase

    Funded Feb 9, 2024

Your contribution to our classroom has helped to physically transform our classroom to a student-centered welcoming environment. When the Big Joe bean bag chair arrived, every kid in the room wanted to try it out...all at once (Lol). My students enjoy taking turns sitting on the bean bag when doing classwork or engaging in team discussions. They also use it as a platform to designate who has the floor to speak during presentations within their teams. Parents have expressed that their children come home and say they love our class because they don't always have to work from their seats.

The items to create visual displays were used to showcase students work on bulletin boards. Drawing attention to their success. All my students like to look for their work on the bulletin boar. Teachers would also come in our room and compliment our classroom bulletin boards.

Thank you so much for contributing towards making my students learning environment, comfortable, inviting, and most importantly...all about them.”

    With gratitude,

  • Speakers for Students to Stay on Beat with Learning

    Funded Dec 20, 2023

I cannot thank you enough. You made it possible for my students to engage in morning announcements, Discovery Education, BrainPop videos, mindful and physical brain break videos, and so much more. Thanks to your generosity my students would ask me to play Mozart during classwork, reminded me to play guided meditation prior to tests and quizzes, and even enjoyed an online field trip. To account for every indoor and outdoor event or activity my students used the speakers for would amount to a daily journal of the entire school year because they used them every day thanks to you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Boodramsingh

  • Learning is a Treasure Hunt & Motivation is the Map!

    Funded Dec 25, 2023

Picture a child's reaction when they get to pick something from the candy store. That reaction is synonymous with what I witnessed every Friday when my students pulled an item from our classroom treasure box. Your donation to our treasure box items inspired my students to be on task, complete all classwork, turn in homework, and strive for good grades. All these behaviors were rewarded with items you donated, and it made for an all-around successful and rewarding school year. Students were thrilled whenever they earned points for treasure box items and waited with anticipation and excitement to select their treasure.

Parents have mentioned how much our treasure box reward system means to their children. They too looked forward to seeing what their child selected as their reward for their efforts. I have shared these experiences with other teachers, and many are motivated to use this motivational tool next school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Boodramsingh

My students are from hard-working, low income, immigrant families. All of them are on free or reduced lunch programs. They are motivated and put forth 100% effort in all classroom activities. However they have limited opportunities to engage with technology and develop skills that will enable them to compete in our fast-paced, technologically focused global community. They're parents are supportive but most do not speak English and all have very limited financial means therefore they struggle to provide basic school supplies which means that they are unable to assist with supplemental resources that help to enrich my students' daily learning experiences.
