Help Us Document Our Ceramics like Pros!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Your contributions to our project have enabled us to get a professional quality digital camera that would be out of reach for the majority of my students. While cellphones take great quality images, using a high-quality digital camera creates even better photographs and gives students the experience of a working artist. Taking great quality photographs to document show off their great artwork is an important part of the art-making process in the 21st century. I have many students already using the camera and much more excited about their chance to use it.
Seniors will be able to get great quality photographs for their end of the year capstone project they complete throughout their senior year. My juniors have already commented they are glad to have this camera to document their work for their senior year.”

Funded Mar 29, 2017Thank you again for your donations. My students really love using the Amaco underglazes to decorate their assignments. With budget restraints still affecting the classroom, your donation helps me to buy more supplies for my ceramics class.
My students will be completing a variety of assignments at the end of the year. Some students will be creating self-portrait sculptures inspired by David Kenton Kring and Patti Warashina. Other students are making teapots and throwing various forms on the wheel. Almost all of the students like the color choices the underglazes offer to decorate their assignments in a variety of ways.
Your donation will help my students to finish off the end of the year strong. The majority of my students will be graduating this year and for some, this will be their last clay class, by having your donation it will ensure that my students end the year creating memorable assignments.”

My students are really excited to have new rulers, and are looking forward to learning how to use the newsprint paper to create glaze transfers to decorate an upcoming project. Funded Oct 13, 2015My students were very excited to see all of the amazing new supplies that came in from your donation. It may seem like a silly thing but having quality supplies really does make a difference in the art classroom and the students know it as well. When students work with budget items because of lack of funding they can tell by the outcome they are getting. When they saw all of the great quality supplies I was able to get for them to use through your donation they were extremely excited. Before I could even make test tiles students were already using the glazes that I received! I know my 3D design students will be happy to finally have good quality rulers to use as well for upcoming assignments.

Help Create Creative Students!!!

With the new tools students do not have to wait around as long to share the few tools that we had and they are no longer getting broken all the time. The all wooden tools have been amazing to use and my students have been much happier creating great clay assignments.
Your donation has allowed me to continue to run a high quality program that my students deserve to have and has helped offset the cost of running and expensive art program. We also were able to buy more clay because I did not have to worry about tools. My students love having an extra wheel in the room as well.”

With you donation I have been able to give my students several assignments that help build their creativity and confidence in art making. We made wooden sculptures that show what the word motion / movement would look like in a visual way and we made Tim Burton style clay characters using the Supersculpy clay. My students have really been enjoying that supplies we were able to get from your generous donations. These assignments really helped to hook my students on taking an art class.”

Funded Oct 11, 2013When my students learned about all of the great materials we were going to be receiving because of your donation they were very excited and would keep asking when they were coming. When my students were able to use the supplies that first day they became even more excited. I have not seen them so focused on their work thus far in the year. Everyone was able to finally have tools to work with and not have to sit around waiting to share what few resources we did have.

I know my students will be very excited to receive all the new tools from Dick Blick right now 6 students are sharing a limited amount of tools per table and often do not have what they need to get the task at hand finished. With your donation students will be able to accomplish much more work during the course of the period. I have been receiving a donation from the create a grant for a few years now and it is always a welcome source to really elevate the level of equipment in the classroom which always results with a high level quality of projects from my students. Help Photography Students Find Their Voice!!!

They have also enjoyed using them in the studio to do portrait projects and learning about lighting set up the new camera's are taking great quality images than what we had previously.
