When I came to a new school this year, we did not have a classroom library. I searched second-hand stores and garage sales all summer long to provide books for my class to read. I was able to obtain many nice fiction books for the class. Second graders are very interested in the world around them. I would like to provide books for the children to read and learn more information about the topics we are covering in science class. The other classrooms in my grade level have books on the topics to display for the students to read. As they are learning about each subject. I would like to provide this for my students also.
