Funded Dec 26, 2022Thank you so much for your donation to our program. My students see so many possibilities with these tablets. They have discovered garage band and the abilities of todays tech beyond their scope. They were at awe to play a note on the piano m, to which, the garage band app playing it back while it dictates the tune into the GarageBand system. They visioned the process to be so much harder. It is because of you I may have future musicians on the way. So I solute you and ask you to continue and promote and donate. Thank again, your gift is much appreciative.”

Funded Mar 2, 2023This camera will and has severed so many purposes. I even purchased a new lease so that we could capture the students closer on stage. We have not only used this camera for our performances, practices, fellowships, but have begun to use the video to recruit new members and learn how to produce a music video. My students have learned so much and can not believe the technology that goes into cameras.
So the benefits to this camera has captured so many moments in and around the school. I was able to capture some of the my choir members during competitions, National Honor Society induction, their performance during musical festival. This up coming 2023-24 year we plan to even record our musical theatre play.
We could have never done any of this with out your contribution. Please continue to support us as music goes far beyond singing. Thank you so much.”

The Hydrated Class
Funded Jan 17, 2023It is always refreshing to see students in need and to be able to provide for them. You are 100% the reason my students are hydrated through the day. We all know the benefits of staying hydrated. We all know what can happen if you do not. Our bodies our minds are just not there. My students and I thank you so much for your contribution. Please continue to give as this is an on going issue.
Each day, my students enter class the first thing they ask is for water. It is so hard to tell them 'I do not have enough for al'l. The fountain helped a lot as it is a vending necessity to supply continue hydration to the entire class.
This donation did not only help with my class but surround and passerby's. My students and I thank you so much for your contribution. Please continue to give as this is an on going issue.”

Funded Dec 25, 2022My class is so appreciative of your generous contribution to our growing Apple Classroom. As you know, this project is divided into parts. I wish to give my students access to the benefits of an Apple Classroom. Currently, we have been donated an A apple TV and 2 tablets. I wish to complete these projects with 15 tablets to accommodate each students learning success.
This project comes just in time, as our school can not supply each student with a device. As a result, computers are limited to a classroom set for Core classes . Although music has become mostly technical over the years, a class sets in the Music classroom, is almost never considered for cases such as this.
We thank you for understanding the need for technology in the music classroom. Working with the Apple tablets have definitely made my students and my lessons more engaging. Allowing my students to easily think on a higher level critically and creatively.”

Funded Dec 27, 2022I can't thank you enough for supplying my class with an Apple TV. It was very enlightening for my students to say the least. My intentions for the Apple TV is one of several projects. Each project would supply a class set of IPads, Apps and an Apple TV to create an " Apple Classroom". This classroom will allow me to view my students work in progress, help students with just a click, I can cast my screen to the TV so that students can see in real time how I analyze music and vice verse.
First, they did not know the Apple TV was a box that could be plugged to any HDMI capable monitor. Second, they were relieved to be able to cast their work onto the Promethean Board without approaching the board to select their name. Third, they now have access to technology that is being used in more technically advance schools.
The Apple TV would allow my students to cast or mirror their work onto the board. Students were able to use Music Theory.net to practice their music Theory fundaments. Then use the two current iPad to play Music Theory games downloaded from the App Store. Students could also pass the tablet and teach their team how to create music.
The Apple TV has been such a relief for me as a teacher, in that I could use Apple Classroom to plan effective and engaging lessons that my students would enjoy. Quickly transitioning my lessons by casting my tablet. I could walk the class and teach my class without being limited to the board. I was able to identify the few students who needed help with similar issues just by mirroring their screen or mine. No more running around and over the class.
The students were impacted in the same ways, they definitely gained understanding quicker. They are now able to show their work in Garage Band and other apps. They are able to use Apps to practice, study, present and so much more. They are able to work in groups and cast their phones to the board. They are able to look at YouTube video about Theory concepts, I could go on and on.
In all, the benefits of your contribution are excitingly endless and will advance my students in so many ways. They are now able to practice. We can't thank you enough! I hope you would see the work being done in my class to help me complete my "Apple Classroom ".”

Funded Sep 3, 2022My students have learned so much about performing and singing cultural music. Their learning was solidified when they discovered the djembe and various drums are consistently used across all cultures.
We prepared a song called "Baba Yetu" which is a song that won a Grammy for its arrangement in the video game Civilization VI. In addition, our choir learned a price for their Winter Concert called "Betelehemu", an African Christian song. Both pieces incorporated the djembe, as well as, hand claps to show consistent use of percussions through out the songs.
These songs perfectly challenged my students to do something outside of their box. It taught them rhythm, control, harmonization, hand drumming technique, and the gentleness of playing such an instrument. They learned that these drums have different vibrations or frequencies depending on the area or placement of the hands on the drum played. In addition, our choir has students who play in the band and were able to sing and play simultaneously with the djembe. This taught them to multitask in their efforts to combine both instruments. They also learned about instrumental balance between voice and artificial instruments.
Your contribution to my music program will las a lifetime. With that, you have made an invaluable donation to many generations of learners. We can't thank you enough. From the Lanier Singers to you, we thank you.!”

We must continue to advocate for our children and teach them how to advocate for themselves. This printer is a valuable tool with so many invaluable possibilities. It will allow us to advocate to our community, and build an environment more conducive to learning. So on behalf of all my current and future students, we thank you.”
