Our students are amazing 8 and 9 year old children who show more resilience than most adults. They attend a New York City public school and this class is an ICT class, which contains both general education and special education students and two teachers. This school year was very difficult with many obstacles that each student has overcome, from homes being ruined in Super Storm Sandy to several of the special education students overcoming learning victories of their own (jumping 4 reading levels!) These kids worked so hard all year long in spite of all of the challenges they have faced and they really are wonderful students. We are proud to call ourselves their teachers!
