Kindergarten Leveled Library
Funded Sep 28, 2017I am humbled by the generosity of all of the Donors who helped to build our Kindergarten Leveled Library. It brings me such joy to see my students diving into these books!! Being able to offer my students reading material that is engaging and just right for each one of them is every teachers dream.
We have been learning about weather and seasons in our classroom and it is wonderful to be able to align my students independent reading books with our monthly units in reading. The engaging illustrations and content instantly help to draw my students into their books.
My students take such pride in being able to have their "own books" in their book bags and are beginning to know if particular books are just right for them. Instilling the love of reading at a young age helps to build life long learners.
Thank you so much for giving my students the opportunity to discover the love of reading in their kindergarten classroom.”

Wobble Chairs for My Students
Funded Feb 26, 2016Dear Donors,
Our students were so excited to be getting so many gifts in such large boxes!! The addition of wobble chairs to our classroom has added flexibility to our seating arrangements and has increased the ability for our young students to learn and move while working. The wobble chairs are always an option for students who wish to use them! We noticed students who continue to seek out these chairs, use them appropriately, and increase their stamina as they grow and learn. We are so appreciative of your generosity and support of our classroom.”

Awesome Osmos!
Funded Sep 14, 2015I would like to relay a heartfelt thank you to all of you whom so generously donated in order to fund my classroom's "Awesome Osmos" grant. The Osmos have been an amazing addition to math, literacy, and choice times. I introduced the Osmos during math centers and was able to have two students at each Osmo using the Tangrams App. We have incorporated them into literacy centers as well by using them to recognize and spell their peers' names and learn beginning sight words.
One aspect that I am particularly thrilled with was that I immediately saw children engaging in cooperative work, negotiating, and increasing their ability to persist when something was challenging. The amount and depth of their language was amazing to observe. I have several students that love to draw and the Masterpiece App has been quite popular at choice time. Watching the intent expressions on my students' faces as they work so hard in order to draw, complete a puzzle, or figure out a word has been so rewarding in itself. I love being able to bring meaning to their learning by adding our own photos and albums for the class to use.
I look forward to watching my students grow and be challenged while using the Osmos as a learning tool in the classroom. Thank you again for providing my students with the opportunity to use technology in an interactive, cooperative, and challenging way within our classroom. I hope that many of you will be able to come visit and see this amazing learning in action!”

Mrs. Brink
