Spring Supplies
Funded Jul 23, 2023Our students have been off to a great start this year. We have received a great package filled with pencils, markers and laminating sheets necessary for a successful start. Using the laminating sheets to protect center materials really helps with the longevity of the center. Anytime a package arrives we all get excited but when the students start to recognize how that particular product will be used during the school day they get excited all over again. This year's class in particular seems extra appreciative.”

Funded Nov 27, 2022The students were beyond excited when our amazon packages began arriving. When I build our new white boards they were curious and enthusiastic. We have not gone one day since without using out new freestanding moveable white boards.
Our area recently experience some dangerously frigid temperatures I was beyond happy to be able to outfit our students each with a hat and a set of gloves. We even had a few extras for the students whose siblings were in need as well.
Donors Choose has really offered so much to my students it's hard to detail it all .”

Mathematicians Need Tools
Funded Oct 26, 2022My students were so excited to see that we finally had a bunch of pencils and erasers because we are always scraping by with whatever we can find laying around. It has made it so much better when there is no lapse in completing work. They have also benefited from having the vocabulary cards for each unit laminated as it allows them to jot notes or captions to help them remember what the words mean. As the teacher I have noticed the impact that these supplies have added to the classroom because students no longer roam around searching for a pencil or an eraser. We are ready to learn right away. And they were so excited that someone who doesn't even know them or our classroom cared enough to send us supplies. It was very touching.”

Read to Learn! Learn to Read!
Funded Dec 17, 2014Even though I initial reached out to you before the holidays to thank you for the wonderful donation, I wanted to connect with you now that all of our awesome materials have arrived. The students are loving all of the new books to the point where I've had to keep some at my desk and lend them to one new student each day because they all can't wait to read them. I can't explain how truly helpful it has been to get our math and science libraries up and running. Most the literature I had here did not also cover content which is so important these days. Especially the non-fiction science books covering our 3rd grade topics. We are so grateful. Thank you so much for sparking the kids excitement.”

Funded Oct 6, 2014Our classroom has become a multiplication machine!! Thanks to your generous donations my students are able to house flash cards neatly in their desks. We filled them full of addition, subtraction and multiplication math fact cards that they are able to study right at their desks. They have begun using them daily and I am already seeing a big difference in their fact knowledge and speed at which they are able to reply to my fact questions. Students were intrigued and excited to unleash the boxes from their desks and begin studying right away. Some of the pictures I snapped of the students using their flash card boxes were taking during indoor recess. During this 20 minute period they are allowed to choose several different quiet indoor activities such as coloring, drawing, playing board games etc... Several students started a flash card trend and now many of them spend this time quietly studying at their seats. As their teacher you can imagine how much I love seeing this!! I hope to soon be adding a set of division cards to each student's box. Reach for the stars!!!”
