  • Hands-on Math Intervention

    Thank you so much for funding my project. My students are so excited to use the materials during our small group instruction time. Seeing the boxes unpacked and materials set out, they were so enthusiastic about starting out center and small group time. They love the hands-on aspect to it, and I love the growth that I see from my students.

    The building 3D shapes and exploring volume centers have quickly become favorites. The hands-on multiplication and division have been so helpful in developing those concepts. Students build the problems and practice regrouping using the manipulatives. The fraction puzzles have provided a much-needed review of how to represent fractions differently.”

    Thank you so much! My students love their new books and cannot wait to use the flexible seating. It truly has increased their interest in reading. I have had several parents comment on how excited they are to see their kids enjoying reading. This year I have students who are English Language Learners. Finding books that hold their interest and that they can read independently has been a challenge. With the new graphic novels in class, everyone now has access to interesting and readable books. My students face many challenges to their education simply do to a lack of resources and experiences. Due to the high poverty, many students do not have access to technology or books at home. Many students come from broken homes or are being raised by someone other than their biological parents. Our school is dedicated to providing optimal learning experiences for all students. One way our school is working towards making sure no child is left behind, is by employing aides to work with intervention groups.
