My students are an excited and energetic bunch of 2nd graders. Our classroom is a diverse environment with students from a variety of backgrounds. They are a loving group, eager to offer a hug or help. They are as excited as I am when we receive new books in our classroom. Our school is a small neighborhood school, with a strong sense of family. However, the area is poor and many of our students do not get the exposure to books and reading at home.
