I am a public school teacher seeking an IPad2 for my 4th grade classroom in New York. My objective is to engage my students in interactive learning. As of now, I only have one working computer in my classroom, with limited functions. The common core standards at my school are rigorous. My students are exposed to non-fiction works, which require research. Having an IPad2 in our classroom would enable my students to conduct necessary research and inquiries. Pencils, paper, projection screens and even stationary computers will soon be things of the past. In order to keep pace, my students must be introduced to new challenges and methods of learning. An IPad2 is a creative tool that builds interactive skills and provides immeasurable opportunities for sharing and learning.
