• Crafting Fun!

  My students were very excited to receive

  all of these new craft supplies. They love all of the different beads and brightly colored string. They have been creating friendship bracelets and sun catchers with their friends. They are enjoying their free time by being creative and spending time with friends.”

• We Love Reading Fantasy Novels

  Thank you very much for donating to our project. We were very excited to receive all of these wonderful Percy Jackson books & graphic novels. We cannot wait to read them during our book clubs and then talk about the books with our classmates.

  My students love reading and working with each other. They will be able to read with partners and then discuss what they read. They are eager to read them all so they may compare & contrast the books. I love to see when my students are excited to read!

• Kids' Carpet

  I want to take this opportunity to thank you once again for your generous donations to our project. The carpet recently arrived and the students were extremely excited to open it up. The carpet is being used daily for all of our mini-lessons, read-alouds, book clubs and independent reading time.

  Thank you for helping to give my students a clean and comfortable place to sit, learn and play. We are extremely lucky to have such wonderful people donate to our project. You truly put a smile on each and every face in my classroom!”

  Thank you very much for donating to our project. We were very excited to receive all of these wonderful books written by our favorite authors. We cannot wait to read them during our book clubs and then talk about the books with our classmates.

  During our Book Clubs, each group will read a specific fiction/fantasy book. There will be specific days that will be set aside for "Book Talk." This is when we discuss the book we are reading with the other club members. Often the talk turns to a debate about what is happening in the book. The students are getting really good at supporting their points with evidence from the text. They love reading and working with each other.

  Thank you very much for donating to our project. We were very excited to receive all of these wonderful books written by our favorite authors. We cannot wait to read them during our book clubs and then talk about the books with our classmates. We are starting fantasy book clubs soon and cannot wait to read some of the Roald Dahl books such as Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory & James and the Giant Peach.

  My students and I were so excited to receive all of the new books. They were thrilled because some of the books are new series and authors that we did not have.

  My students are reading these books daily. The students are using them when reading their "Just Right" books independently and in our "Author Study" book clubs. They are eager to read one so they may switch it out for another. I love to see when my students are excited to read!

• iLearn with an iPad

  Funded May 13, 2019

  Thank you all once again for your generous donations to our class project. My students and I are extremely grateful for all of your support. They were so excited when we reached our goal. They were even more excited when the ipad and case were delivered to our classroom.

  The ipad is definitely going to be a useful tool in our class. We started to upload some educational apps and games. The students look forward to using it for reading and to research different topics. I cannot begin to tell you how exciting it is to see my students get so excited to use the iPad and to work together on it.

• Support Our Scouts!

  Thank you very much for your generous donation. The girls are very excited because this is their first time being Girl Scouts. They were so excited when the sashes arrived and cannot wait to put the badges that they have earned on them. The girls have been very enthusiastic since the start of our meetings. They are starting to develop important leadership skills. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character. Thank you for supporting us on this new journey.
