My students are very active, energetic, and enthusiastic. They enjoy learning new things, playing with friends, and coming to school. As a teacher in a Title I school, many of my students live in areas of high poverty. Most of the students I teach are on free and reduced lunch. All students at my school are provided a free breakfast as well. My students need opportunities to learn and grow as readers. This includes being exposed to different genres. My school does a great job of trying to provide fiction and nonfiction books to the students we serve, however, we do not have magazines available for students to read. They need the opportunity to learn from a variety of text materials.
