Thank you so much for donating to my fetching folders project. I use the magnetic folder holder all the time. They hang on my whiteboard and on my metal cabinets so that student folders and other learning materials are there and easily accessible by myself and by other students. They are strong and hold many other types of materials as well such as picture communication books for the students to access who are unable to communicate verbally. The small ones hold white erase markers which make it easy to access for my whiteboard as well. Your generosity so appreciated!”
Thank you so much for your generous donations to my iPad project. I use my iPad regularly with the children to utilize speech and language learning applications. I am able to sit around a small table with the children and everyone is able to view the screen without any issues. The iPad can be passed around the table as well and everyone has equal access to the iPad. I have even held it at the front of a classroom and everyone was able to watch a video short to work on their social skills. This donation was a dream come true.”

Thank you so much for your generous donation towards my cube chair. It has worked wonderfully with my students with autism. I am able to sit across from them while they work on their language tasks. I can present pictures and other cards on the table top and it will not topple over. The chair and the table top also help to keep the student contained in one area so it helps them with their focus and attention. The kids are able to reach their feet to the floor which helps give their bodies stability for speech. I thank you so very much!!!”

Thank you so much for your donations. Because of your donations, I was able to organize my toys into categories for easy access. The kids were excited to see all the SpongeBob figurines together in one spot. They were excited that the kitchen play toys were in one drawer. When the kids want to play with something, they can remove the drawer and bring it to the table or they can sit on the floor and play with the toys. It's made things a lot easier, especially when the kids with autism ask for a specific toys they want to play with. I can't thank you enough for helping me to organize my toys.”
Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. I use the picture vocabulary cards all of the time for therapy and for evaluations. The students not only work on identifying the pictures but they also work on describing the features, functions and categories of the items in the pictures. I bring this box of pictures with me all the time when I work with preschool children diagnosed with autism. I use these pictures to assess their vocabulary as well. As for the other items in this project, I often use them with the other students who are special education but diagnosed with specific learning disability. They love the interactive way that they can look to locate the answers and match them in order to boost their vocabulary. I can't thank you enough for all the help you've provided for my groups of students that I work with.”
Thank you so much for donating to my project. You can't even imagine the joy and happiness my students showed when they saw that they can have their letters and transform them into robots. Even though some of them couldn't use their words to show their excitement, they were able to do so with their faces. The kids absolutely loved seeing how the letters were able to transform and then we also used the robots to play imaginatively. For those students that are able to verbally imitate, it was the cutest thing to see them try to talk in robot voices. I can't thank you enough for your donation.”
Thank you so much for your donations for my therapy table. It has been a wonderful addition to my therapy room. I love being able to be at the center of the table and have access to all the students as they sit around the kidney shaped table. The students and I are able to have nice discussions and I can easily help them with their work. The table is spacious and everyone has enough body space and work space to get their work done without any conflicts with the other students. I can't thank you enough.”

My students have autism and/or apraxia. They struggle to speak everyday. Sign language is difficult to do with their fine motor delays and most people can't understand it. These children need a voice and the iPad and certain communication apps can be just what they need, but we need the resources so that we can begin training our kids and to begin training our teachers on these apps. We need to help our kids communicate. Parents need to be trained. Successful training and use of these apps could open up a world of difference for these children who have no means of communicating. Some of our children are over the age of 8 and are still nonverbal and are not beyond their grunting, grabbing. I would like to use these iPads to train other beginning speech therapists on the use of augmentative communication to help our nonverbal children communicate their basic wants and needs.
