Learning to Love to Read

Thank you so very much for your generous donation to out First Grade classroom!!

The gasp of excitement when the students walked into the classroom and found those huge boxes were absolutely adorable. The class erupted with giggles, laughter, and many questions. I asked a few volunteers to help open the boxes and we passed out the seats for everyone to try. From then on, independent reading time has become a little more comfortable. It also gives these little readers their own little space to explore new books and learn.

Each day, students have a specific time for independent reading. We now have specific students who have the job of passing out the seats and then making sure they are placed back on the cart after. They take their responsibilities serious.

We love the addition to our classroom. The seats have been a lot of fun and inspired some fantastic learning time for the whole class.”
