• Light 'Em Up!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The light table was a hit! Students have been able to have fun learning math with the manipulatives for the light table. They love when it's their turn to use it!

  They were so excited when they saw it and were ready to use the material immediately.

  We currently have a rotation to use it and it definitely helps students stay focused and engaged.

  The light table is mostly used for mini math lessons and independent quick activities. Again, we appreciate your gift.”

• Flex'n With Flexible Seats

  Thank you so much for donating the surf desks to our classroom. The students are thrilled and can't wait until it is their turn to use them. Having them has changed the dynamics and noise level of the classroom because students are choosing to do independent work and are achieving success working alone.

  Some of my busiest students are able to sit still now and focus on learning rather than moving freely about the room. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity and kindness. We plan to continue to use the desks for independent and partner work.”

• Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

  The books you purchased boosted engagement so high! They were interactive, funny, and encouraging. My students were excited to read the Mother Bruce series and anticipated what adventures Bruce would go on next.

  Since the books were so interactive, it was easy for us to incorporate reading skills such as retelling and sequencing. This helped even my lower readers grasp skills they need to read.

• Can I Get A Refill

  We are so thankful for our refill supplies! We have been able to print activities in color and laminate them for long-term use. When I revealed the pencils, the class cheered because we had been without pencils and erasers for a little while.

  Not only were my students happy to receive the supplies, I was as well. Being able to print on cardstock and in color made my heart happy. We were doing an animal reporter science activity, and they were able to print their chosen animal in color.

  We are moving closer to the end of the school year, so some of these supplies will take me into our next school year so that other students can benefit from them. For my next steps, I would like to create a project for storage and organization. Thank you again for your kindness.”

• Road to Reading

  Thank you so much for your generosity and donation to our classroom. The mobile library cart has greatly helped with the organization of library books. I've been able to find pictures to place on the bins so the students know where to return them.

  The book bins made it easier for classroom setup. Students are able to utilize the bins by putting their daily things in them like books and binders. We are so thankful for everything we've received as it helps with organization in our small community. They are taking excellent care of all of it!”

• Reading is FUNdamental

  Funded Feb 8, 2022

  Thank you so much for your donation! We immediately opened our games and started reading our books. Having these items has made learning phonemic and comprehension skills so much fun. I did a whole group run through on how to play one of the Splash games and played it with four students at a time. They loved it. After they learn how to play with me, they got to play each other in centers.

  My students have been excited ever since. The vibrant books and retelling pieces have helped them grow so much. They enjoy getting to use them at work stations. I would love to get more books and retelling pieces. They have become such a great tool in the classroom to address many skills.

  Again, thank you. This will be helpful for future classes as well. Learning is so much more fun! We have taken care of everything so that we can use them over and over.”

• Homeward Bound

  Thank you so much for your continued support in our education! My students were so excited to be able to go home and use the letter tiles when we are virtually working on phonics lessons. It has helped them to be able to better use sound boxes and pronunciation of words. They are able to make sense of the lessons without just watching and listening to me. They are able to practice and in "I do, We do, You do" activities easier.

  To see the joy on their faces as they manipulate the letters on laminated sound boxes is so rewarding. They are able to bring their items back and forth to school which makes learning constant. Also, being able to use the number lines helps with basic counting and addition and subtraction skills. My students have grown so much with these items. The dry erase boards and markers are a lifesaver as they don't have to constantly look for pencils and paper.

  These materials may seem so simple but are so valuable! We thank you for the consideration and the support of our classroom. We hope to create one more project to prepare for second grade!”

• Face Time

  I can't thank you enough for allowing me to reach out to my students during this pandemic by funding our project. Technology has become more important during this time and having access to it has not been easy. I have been able to gain access to my students whom I have not met in real life let, but have been able to get to know them through Zoom or Google Meet.

  The students look forward to "having lunch" with me and talking about their day and weekend and what they are learning. I have had "tours" through their homes, showing me their pets and parents and siblings. They have also had a glimpse into my life as well. There is lots of learning taking place as well. We have been able to go over sight words, word families, number sense and play games using the technology. We have navigated through educational websites together to enhance learning and make it fun.

  Students who otherwise would not have had this opportunity are so thankful for their turn to use the iPad and talk with their teacher. There are students who have multiple siblings and do not get the attention they yearn so having an opportunity to "hang out" with their teacher on the iPad is pretty exciting. Thank you again for your generous donation and allowing my students and I to get to know each other through technology.”
