Early readers need to read aloud as much as possible. It builds confidence, encourages students to sound out words phonetically, and increases word recognition over time. Headphones offer tons of fantastic opportunities for teachers and kids alike, from exciting lessons to interesting group activities. Classrooms are now equipped with laptops or tablets, so a set of classroom headphones is a must. With many students in each class, though, it's difficult to allot time for each student to read aloud individually, and students often can feel embarrassed or scared to read in front of others. Classroom headphones with microphones allow students to practice reading on their own without any pressure, build confidence, and learn tremendously from listening to their own recordings. They also reduce distractions and sounds from the environment so they can focus their attention on the sound of their own voice and words. Using these headsets can improve decoding and fluency skills for struggling readers, and students who have the opportunity to listen to their own reading voices learn to read more efficiently and with meaningful expression. With microphone headsets, teachers can track students' reading progress and make specific instructional decisions for each student based on the information gathered. Microphone headsets used for great literacy instruction will lift up our students' voices!
