My students are struggling readers with a low interest in reading and school. They are great kids, with fun personalities and kind hearts. They need someone who can believe in them and push them and guide them to believe in themselves. My school is a city school with a high-poverty level. I know to be successful in school you must start with becoming engaged. The books I have selected will help students become active readers that will develop a love for learning.
