  • Deck Out the Classroom With Desks

    Funded May 23, 2023

    Thank you so much for helping me to deck my classroom out with desks that now allows for flexible seating. The students are able to use them for whole and small group instruction, their chrome books, and coloring pictures when on breaks.

    My students were so excited to fill the sides of the lap desks with pencils, crayons, scissors, markers, and yes - the occasional toy!

    Providing students choices where to complete their tasks has prevented several meltdowns and given students their personal space to work.”

  • Sensory Safe Seascape

    Funded May 11, 2023

    My students love their new calming area! It has made such a difference when they need a place to go to calm down. They love rolling up in the soft rug, using the stuff animals as pillows, and squeezing stress balls. It has provided a safe, comfortable, and inviting space to deescalate until they are ready to return to learning.

    The students' faces lit up with excitement as they explored all of the new sensory items. It was incredible watching them hugging the animals while trying out the bean bags.

    One student ,with low language skills, spent hours with the basket of the tiny sea creatures asking the name of each one of them. This student can now name half of them without any assistance. This would not have happened without your generosity! This has opened up his world - thanks to you.”

  • The Games We Play

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

    I cannot thank you enough for your generosity of providing new games for my students. They have enjoyed playing Twister, shooting hoops, UNO, and so much more! They are learning invaluable lessons of taking turns, sharing, and creating friendships.

    The students get so excited when it is their turn to select the game to play during social skills. They are also getting their work done so that they can get to playing games sooner.

    It has been such a pleasure watching them engage in learning how to play a game they haven't played before. They are always wanting to play just a little longer!
