Learning at Home Should Be Fun!
Funded Aug 13, 2020I can't tell you how much we appreciate your support for our project and the children at PS 94. My students and I truly appreciate your support and donations. Many of my students struggle with speech and language difficulties and also have trouble with the acquisition of literacy skills. Many of them demonstrate difficulty with reading, comprehension and following directions specially through this mode of learning during Covid 19. Teaching and learning at home is for sure a hard thing but it can also be fun!. The materials you have donated have really helped my students with their language and literacy skills. The majority of my students needed interactive materials that could help them engage easily and maintain their interest in the lessons and thanks to your donations my students are more engage in the lessons and their attention and literacy and language skills have greatly improved. My students and I will forever appreciate your help and support. Your donation has enriched my student's learning experience and helped them succeed in this difficult time. Funded Dec 29, 2018I can't tell you how much we appreciate your support for our project and children at PS 94. Your donation helped purchase phonological awareness materials to help improve my student's reading skills. My students and I truly appreciate your support and donations to implement this program that help them learn faster and easily their letters and sounds as well as with their decoding skills.
Your donation enriched my student's learning experience and helped them succeed in learning to read. These materials and hands-on-activities for phonemic awareness practice have helped my students with different learning styles develop functional literacy skills. The activities and the program implemented helped increased comprehension of phonemic awareness and sound/letter correspondence of my students. It helped encourage students to participate and learn their sounds through motion with great visual and hands-on-activities. It also helped incorporate different learning styles.
The teacher I worked closed with found that the children loved learning the sounds using the videos, activity books and doing the movements for each letter which helped them retain the letters and their corresponding sounds more easily. She noticed an almost immediate improvement in their students' ability to acquire sound/symbol associations as well as with blending and decoding skills.
Thank you so much for your generosity and for making a difference in these children's lives. We are so grateful for your donation to my project.”

This program as well as the games, DVDs and hands-on-activities for phonemic awareness practice have helped my students with different learning styles develop functional literacy skills. The activities and the program implemented helped increased comprehension of phonemic awareness and sound/letter correspondence of my students. The teachers I'm implementing the program with believe it is a fun way of teaching reading and that the kids enjoy it so much they all participate and look forward to. They have found that the children loved listening to the letter/sound videos as well as doing the movements for each letter.
