  • Snack Attack! Part 2

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

Thank you so much for the tasty snacks that helped us finish out year. With an early lunch time, most of my students were hungry in the afternoon. Even though they had the option of bringing a snack from home, most of my students did not. Being able to offer them a snack was a true blessing indeed. These were snacks that were luxuries god most of my students. You should have seen their faces when they were allowed to choose from a wide variety.

Thanks again for reaching out to help students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coward

  • Kindness Counts part 2

    Funded Feb 2, 2024

Thank you for supporting our kindness project. The nursing home residents loved everything we sent. I loved riding by in the afternoon on my way home from school and seeing the suncatchers hanging in the windows. It made me smile every day.

We also made items for our mothers and other caregivers. Parents always love a home-made gift! We m

even surprised the other teachers and assistants in our building with a sweet flower bouquet for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Thank you again for supporting kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you rock!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coward

  • Glowing With Success

    Funded May 6, 2024

Thank you for helping my students celebrate their learning this year. The students were amazed with all we were able to do. The games, markers, hats, glow sticks, rings and necklaces all added to the gun! We were able to invite the other kindergarten students to join in. Every student had a blast!

Our school building closed after being a fixture in our community for 98 years. It was fun having an extra reason to celebrate!

Thank you again for supporting kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coward

  • STEM Storage Part 2

    Funded Jan 1, 2024

Thank you so much for the storage boxes. They have made locating and storing our STEM materials more efficient and organized! Need the farm magna-tile set? No problem! Where are the Bee-Bots? I see them! what is the rain Duplo set? It's right there! Having see-through containers makes everything easier. An additional perk in having these storage boxes is that since all of our STEM materials are already in the tubs, moving them to the new school will be a breeze. They are basically packed and ready to go.

Thank you again for supporting kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always you ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coward

  • Mother’s Day Art

    Funded Mar 28, 2024

Thank you so much for the awesome art supplies. It is a true blessing knowing we will have the supplies we need for out projects. We use the Shrinky Dink to make keychains for the adult caregivers in our lives. The canvases are used for making portraits of our Moms.

Thanks again for supporting our classroom. You ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

  • Let's Stick Together! Part 1

    Funded Feb 14, 2024

Thank you so much for these amazing Manga-Tile sets. I know my students will love them. My granddaughters have the farm one. When I watched them use them, I knew I needed them in my classroom.

Thanks again for supporting kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coward

  • Snack Attack!

    Funded Dec 11, 2023

It's hard for (some) kindergarten students to concentrate on their best days but it's even harder when they are hungry. Having snacks available in the classroom has been a true blessing. My original intent was to use them at recess and send some home home with select students on the weekend. But when I discovered that some students needed to eat earlier in the day, I decided an open snack bin was better. Sure, a few took advantage for a day or two but once the novelty wore off, I noticed only the students who truly hungry were visiting the snack bin.

Thank you again for supporting kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coward

  • STEM Storage and More!

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

What a blessing it is to have our STEM materials organized and easily accessible! The clear tubs make it possible for my kindergarten students to find exactly what they need. The end result is less time is spent searching for the right STEM activity resulting in more time spent engaging with the materials. The tubs are just the right size for my students to manage. They stack easily.

Thank you once again for supporting underserved kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coward

  • Kindness Counts!

    Funded Oct 17, 2023

Thank you so much for the colored pencils and bright paper. We have had so much fun making cards and giving them to friends, family members, staff members at our school, our cafeteria staff and others. We even mailed thank you letters to a DonorsChoose donor!

We are currently making Valentine cards for the 62 residents of our local nursing home. We will also make sun catchers they can place in their windows. I drive by the nursing home on my ways home from school each day. I know I will see some of the cards taped in the windows.

Thank t=you again for supporting kindergarten teachers in rural South Carolina, As always, you ROCK and Kindness Counts!”

    With gratitude,

  • Spare Change of Clothes (Girl Version)

    Funded Oct 15, 2023

Thank you is not sufficient to express our gratitude for having this project funded but... thank you so much for helping us replenish your clothing closest. Our closest was nearly empty and what was left was used clothing that wasn't in the best condition. It is a blessing to have extra clothing when spills or bathroom accidents happen. Parents appreciate not having to stop and come to school to bring extra clothing. The clothes are so nice, clean and colorful that the students do not mind wearing them and some even ask to keep them!

Thank you again for supporting students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coward
