I have taught 8th grade science in Compton, California for the past 8 years. There is a lot of negative stigma associated with teaching in Compton, but there is no other place I would rather teach. I am able to see so much academic progress in my students ability to apply critical thinking skills, math and science understanding. Teaching is my passion and there is no other career I would rather have. I was also on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show which aired February 29th, 2016. That was an amazing experience!
