Flexible seating is a key component to empowering students to be leaders of their own learning. Currently, my students have the opportunity to choose spots around the room to work (i.e. using lap desks, stools, or sitting under desks). By giving students the opportunity to choose where they want to work, it allows them to tap into their learning styles. My students are engaged when given the choice of where to work and they are less likely to disturb their peers. The products I have chosen will give the students comfortable choices for flexible seating which will enhance their motivation to learn. The comfy couch and pillows will allow for a cozy place to be productive. They can read their independent reading books or work on their writing. Students with a kinesthetic learning style will benefit from using the bouncy ball seat to focus their attention. My students are developing 21st century leadership skills and these products will enable them to be proactive when learning by having a choice of seating. Flexible Seating = Empowered Learning
