Students at my elementary school are children of working class, mostly Latino, parents. Ninety percent are non-native English speakers. Parents are involved in their children's education and often volunteer for classroom duty. Pupils are bright, but lack some basic computing skills. Due to strong local demand for our newly opened school, our computer lab has been turned into a classroom. Many of them do not have computers, Internet service at home.
