Many schools provide classroom teachers with a yearly budget to purchase supplies needed to enhance their own teaching style. My school system doesn't offer this so I spend approximately $700 of my own money, much of that on the basics that I'm requesting through this DonorsChoose project. These supplies are even more important this year given that most of my incoming students will not have had any pre-K experience due to COVID. I've requested enough to ensure each student can take a pencil bag full of materials home, in case we need to quarantine and resume Zoom learning.
