  • Large and in Color is the Way to Go!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

This printer has helped our students remember the significant ideas in our lessons. They can look at the huge anchor charts printed on the new printer and use them as reference during our work.

The printer and supplies were a phenomenal addition to our classroom. They help the students remember what we are working on. It is a great reference to use while working in large or small groups.

    The impact that this printer

Has had on the visual stimulation in our classroom is incredible. The students know exactly where to look for help!”

    With gratitude,

  • Reading is the Foundation of All Other Subjects!

    Funded Oct 22, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom with these nonfiction leveled readers. They help when we meet in small groups so that we can each read the same book. Nonfiction texts are much harder to navigate and learn from. These packs of books will help my lower level readers meet the standards of second grade. Using a book that has text features allows a learning reader an example of what to look for. The different subjects of the books allows the readers to pick out books they are interested in.

Thank you so much for helping to support my classroom.”

  • Help Us Print in Vibrant Color!

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you so much for this great printer! It allows me to print bookmarks and other important items in color. It's a fact that things printed in color are remembered easier!

The influx of color to charts that the students use will make a permanent memory in their minds versus plain black and white.

Being able to quickly print out items that help my students is always a great asset to my classroom. If I had to wait to print things out at home, I would not be as effective and efficient with my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Paloscio & Ms. Bisirri

  • Can You Share Your Book With Me?

    Funded Oct 25, 2020

Thank you so much for this new Portable document camera. It has really helped me to set up and service my remote students in my remote classroom. This pandemic has created many problems and disruptions in our lives but especially the lives of my students. This document camera has allowed me to bring the classroom into their houses.

The document camera is a great quality document camera which can display our read aloud books, zoom in, allow me to write on the books to highlight different areas. It also allows me to do interactive math lessons with the students.

We thank you so much for helping our class out in this difficult time. It is greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Paloscio & Ms. Bisirri

  • Safety First, Remote Next!

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

Thank you so much for this new HP laptop. It has really helped me to set up and service my remote students in my remote classroom. This pandemic has created many problems and disruptions in our lives but especially the lives of my students. This laptop has allowed me to bring the classroom into their houses.

The laptop is a 17" laptop so it allows me to see the students a little better. It also allows them to share their work with me when they hold it up to their cameras.

We thank you so much for helping our class out in this difficult time. It was greatly appreciated!”

  • Help Us to Bridge the Information Gap

    Funded Apr 18, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom with this new ipad. It has helped during the hardest time of my career. The students benefitted because I was able to share information with them and access the web for current information.

This IPAD made my classroom portable. I could move around the room and use it to access the smart board quickly. It helped to connect the students to current information, answer questions in real time and look for new ideas and research.

The IPAD came right before COVID started so I could not take pictures of the students with it but they definitely reaped the benefit of the IPAD and keyboard. It is so much easier to use with the keyboard added. Thank you again for all of your support!”

  • Help Enhance our Creativity!

    Funded Aug 21, 2019

We love the changes that the Cricut has made to our classroom. It lets us be more creative rather quickly. It can cut out things to add to our writing such as titles, manipulatives to use during math and other items to enhance our holiday projects we try to complete.

We appreciate that you helped our class receive these resources to make our projects look so much better.

We know that you value the public school system and the Cricut has given us the ability to enhance our learning to make it fun and memorable.”

  • A Magic Carpet for My Students

    Funded Sep 28, 2015

Thank you so much for the beautiful rug for our classroom. It has helped to create a space where my students can focus on their work. The carpet is set up right in front of the smart board which is one of he focal points of our classroom and our lessons.

The students were so excited when the rug was delivered because they knew it would allow them to each have their own space. It has helped them to focus and pay attention. The bright colors of the rug give the classroom a whole new look and feel.

Thank you again for your generosity and for helping to make this magic carpet ride a dream come true for my students, my future classes and for me. Your generosity has highly impacted our classroom.

    With respect and gratitude,

Mrs. Paloscio and the students of PS 41”

  • Take a Tour of the World on an iPad

    Funded Oct 21, 2014

The purchase of this IPAD has impacted our classroom immensely. The students are so interested every time I take it out and turn it on. They become totally involved in the lesson that is being taught. They like to participate and work on the IPAD any chance they get.

My students enjoy trying out different APPS on the IPAD and then they copy them to download them at home. It is really amazing to see how involved they become in a lesson once I take out the IPAD.

Having the IPAD in the classroom has helped enhance instruction and given the children a different focus on the world around us. Pictures and games can be downloaded that help the students understand a concept being taught or explain something in a different way so that all students can understand it.

Thank you again for helping to bring new technology to our classroom. As you can see in the pictures, I use the IPAD underneath the document camera also so everyone in the class can participate in the discussion and see what is going on. Thank you again for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Paloscio & Ms. Bisirri

  • Sharpen Our Points!

    Funded Jan 10, 2014

Thank you so much for donating to my project. The resources in classrooms today are scarce and hard to come by. With your help and support, my students now have a working pencil sharpener so they can stay on point and not have to worry about looking for a pencil.

The boom box has helped boost morale in the classroom. It has taught the students multiplication songs that will help them with their Math State exams. It is amazing how one exam will affect their lives, but with your assistance, they are able to put their best foot or point forward.

Thank you again for your continued help and support in my classroom. My students are very grateful for your assistance.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Paloscio & Ms. Bisirri

I teach 29 second grade students. My class is composed of 40% special education students and 60% general education students. My school is a Title 1 school and several of my students do not have computers at home. We are located in an economically challenged neighborhood. Many have families that are struggling financially. There are several students that lost everything during Hurricane Sandy. In a big class of 29 students, arranging them into small groups really benefits not only the struggling students but the students that are excelling. My class is composed of students with a variety of learning styles and abilities. Reaching each of these children is a never ending goal. My students are hardworking and motivated, they just need the means and opportunity to grow and learn! The information and opportunity is out there, we just need the ability to access it.
