Redesigning World Language Curriculum Through Authentic Activities

Thank you all for your generous donations and for helping me secure the funds to purchase new materials to help me develop my Spanish 2 curriculum for next year, as well as purchase some new materials for my current classes. Some of the new items that my students are currently loving are posters to help with pronunciation, holiday activities like holiday loteria (bingo), and other classroom activities like "El pirata y el extraterrestre," a short story where students get to listen to a description and draw what they hear.

I have also been able to purchase items for next year to create an exciting Spanish 2 curriculum that teaches vocabulary and grammar through what I hope will be enjoyable and engaging activities and lessons. Some topics that will be covered include Hispanic art and artists, sports and health, rooms and furnishings of the house and grammar topics such as the preterite and imperfect tenses. I can't wait to share all of this new material with my students next year and in future years of teaching! Thank you all again!”
