Working Together is More Fun!
Funded Aug 26, 2022There are not enough words to express my joy, gratitude, and thanks for your generous donations to my class project. My students and I are so very appreciative of your support for education and creative, hands-on techniques for learning. We are looking forward to receiving all of the books and new materials. They will be a great tool as we continue to grow and learn in the classroom. We can't wait to share some pictures of us using our new boards! Thank you again!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ross

Time for a Good Book!
Funded Mar 2, 2014When I checked my email and saw that I had gotten a notice from donorschoose.org that my project, "Time for a Good Book!" had been fully funded in only 3 days I was overwhelmed with appreciation. My students were so excited to hear the news as well. They could not believe that people they had never met were willing to donate money to help us out. This led us into a great discussion about giving to others and how a little kindness can be such a big thing.
Our new listening center arrived a week later, and we opened the boxes together as a class. They even helped me get the listening center set up. I spent an entire weekend downloading books onto the iPod, and currently have over 100 recordings to go with my book sets.
Now my students enjoy getting to use the listening center on a daily basis. They are able to follow along to books while listening to them being read at our new listening center, something that would otherwise not be possible without your generosity. My students are also able to use the headphones when they are playing learning games on the laptops without disturbing others. As a teacher, I want you to know how much I value your support, and want to thank you for being an important partner in my students' education.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ross
