  • Magnifying Success With Technology

    Thank you so much for your donation. Due to the new technology, most of my students are accustomed to working on IPADS., tablets and Touch Screen computers, Promethean boards. They have very little exposure to mouse on computers. Therefore, my students really enjoyed learning and working with the programs that were downloaded. They were able to improve their phonemic awareness and scored much better than anticipated. Hopefully, the same impact will occur in many more years to come. Thank you again.”

My students are all special needs and they are at the beginning of their educational path. They get the most excited about learning when they are able to be individually accountable, or said another way, that they are able to see their growth and progress. The iPad Minis will take my students on a technological journey of learning - mastering their ABC's, using the scientific method, math skills, language arts and poems, and discovering a better way of writing via the keyboard. My students will engage in learning in a way that is individual and exciting. They will be better equipped to take care of their future. Developing creative minds to stir interest in their learning is a challenge for any teacher, but to embark in changing the way a kindergartener views his/her future for the better is rewarding. The donations to this project will see to it that my kindergartners have an advantage of becoming very knowledgeable and productive citizens.
