Support Small Group Work
Funded Jan 23, 2022We greatly appreciate your donations to support our classroom, it was incredibly generous of you. Know that we have small work tables, and stools it seems impossible that we were ever able to survive without them. It makes it so much easier to group students to work, tutoring groups, projects, etc. The stools make it easy for myself and other support staff to easily squeeze in by a student and give them support. The set of yardsticks are wonderful. Allowing students to all look at yardstick instead of just look at one I'm holding makes a huge difference.
Along with these items our class was able to get the Narnia and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing series book sets. We read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing as a class and I've had many students check out these other books from our classroom library to enjoy the rest of the series.
Thanks for your support for all your support for our class.”

Teaching With Technology
Funded Nov 29, 2016We greatly appreciate your donation, which has helped us receive additional Chrome books for our grade level. In our technological world it is difficult for students to learn all the important skills they need, without regular access to the technology. Chrome books in our classroom allow the continual access, students need to programs only available on-line. As well as, we are also able to implement many other wonderful opportunities to learn and explore. Our students are always SO excited when they have an opportunity to work with Chrome books. Your generous contribution has helped create this love of learning.”

C.S. Lewis Is Great!
Funded Dec 26, 2013Thanks for your donations which made it possible to purchase two class book sets, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. After years of use, our old sets of these books finally completely fell apart, and we thought that we may no longer be able to use them as a part of our fourth grade reading. The students were so excited that we were able to keep these wonderful books as a part of reading this year.
Our class read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe this winter and enjoyed C.S. Lewis' wonderful description of winter in Narnia. The students were able to learn and enjoy the adventure with characters and feeling portrayed in this wonderful book. Towards the end of the school year we were able to read Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. The students are able to connect with the fourth grade student in the book, and make comparison between the characters in the book.
These two books were a wonderful part of our reading this year and we appreciate your donations which made this possible.”

Classroom Computer
Funded Feb 24, 2014Thanks for the donations that made it possible to get a new teacher computer for my classroom. With the wonderful opportunities to use technology in teaching, it seems you need to have new computers to make everything work properly.
The computer allows for better streaming of information to our Promethean Board. I'm able to complete documents, teaching tools, lessons, e-mails etc. more quickly and efficiently for myself, parents and students. This allows for lesson confusion, and wait time during a lesson so that my students focus and learning improves. My students and I greatly appreciate your generosity.”

Funded May 17, 2013You are all so wonderful. Thank you for your kind and generous donations. This was my first time using DonorsChoose and I absolutely love it. It gives me options, and I can seek out the things I need and want. These books have already been so helpful in my classroom, and they will continue to be used for years to come. Please continue to support schools by giving to DonorsChoose, they are changing education one classroom at a time. Once again I thank you for your donation it really has made a difference.”
