They are a fantastic bunch of hardworking students. They struggle daily with language issues as more then half of the students have a primary language other than English at home. They are overcoming issues such as poverty, deportation, and parents who work really hard to support them financially but are unable to help them educationally. We work and grow in a Title 1 school where over 1/2 of my students receive Title services, and 90% of the population receives free or reduced lunch. They work hard everyday to make a better life for themselves and I am humbled to work with them.
