  • Autism: Let's Make and Show Our Art!

    Funded Apr 25, 2024

We are so grateful for your support at the start of this school year! We have been able to use the resources to make art and show off our art. We are even motivating others! We are excited to get other teachers and students involved in their own projects and your donations have been a source of inspiration for the entire school. Some of the items like the paint pens allowed us to explore new ways of doing things. We explore different cultures and made projects that were colorful and fun. We had a blast! Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Arty

This classroom project was brought to life by LOFT and 3 other donors.
  • Autism: Creative Arts & Play

    Funded Mar 28, 2024

Words cannot express how much of a difference your donations have made in bringing life and order to another school year!

First of all, the tent and beanbag chair provide a cozy space where students can relax, read, or play. The mini karaoke/microphone give voice to students who have speech delays. The art supplies give our students the tools they need to be creative. Lastly, the cart, behind the door rack, and paper organizer keep everything in the right place.

We couldn't do any of this without your support...so thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Arty

  • Autism: April Is Autism Awareness Month!

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

This project was very motivating for the staff and students. We celebrated Autism Acceptance month in our school. We acknowledged our students and all the staff who work together to make this a better place.

A bulletin board was created to provide information and highlight our students. Children were given pages to color and hang on their classrooms. Staff and students painted rocks to express their creativity. Everyone received autism stickers and inspirational cards were distributed with autism pins to be proudly worn by those who work with our students.

It was a time to celebrate our achievements as we work so hard together to make a difference.”

  • Autism: Community Creations!!

    Funded Dec 14, 2023

Thank you for supporting our project. With the resources provided, we were able to supply all the classes with the materials needed to create a multitude of crafts for a cultural event, Lunar New Year, we were celebrating as a school.

Along with recycled materials, our students and staff used the brightly colored papers to create fantastic three-dimensional crafts, like Chinese firecrackers, lanterns, fans, a snake, dragons, and even a child-size dragon!

When the students saw the materials, they were excited to use them. They all worked together and had lots of fun learning in the process! Thanks again!”

  • Autism: Lunar New Year 2024

    Funded Dec 21, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us celebrate Lunar New Year: Year of the Dragon!

This year we were able to go all out with the decorations, crafts, books, and yes...a school-wide parade! All of our students worked so hard to learn about, explore, and create Chinese cultural items that we were able to showcase in a school-wide event. We explored Chinese food, clothing, fireworks, fans, lanterns, red money envelopes, the Chinese zodiac, and of course, the dragon! We had a great time working together and celebrating together! And thanks to your generous contributions, along with Panda Express, all of our students received take home items that they were able to share with their families too! This was truly a great experience for all of us, and you helped make it a reality! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

  • Autism: Meet Our Sensory Needs Please!

    Funded May 11, 2023

My students and I are so excited to use the sensory items from this project! The pod swing is great and my students always leave with smiles on their faces.

My students really like the LED writing tablet, sensory pop and play toys, and liquid sensory viewers. It's great to see my students work on their fine motor skills without even knowing it! The Glockenspiel is a favorite whenever we are exploring music. But the real star in all of this is the trampoline!! From the start, everyone loved it. This is wonderful for one child, but even better for two children to use at once.

Thank you once again for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Arty

  • Autism: iPad for OT

    Funded Aug 28, 2021

Thank you for supporting our project! My students love using this technology during our sessions! They work on improving fine motor coordination and visual motor skills, and do so while engaging in fun learning activities.

They work on letter recognition, spelling, and sight words. They work on completing puzzles. They also explore music and art as they create their own music and drawings.

My students use their fingers and utilize a stylus in order to complete activities. I love that these skills carry over into classroom activities and at home. Thank you so much for making this possible!”

  • Just the Basics Please!!

    Funded Dec 17, 2021

Thank you for supporting our project! It's been a great school year and we have spent a lot of time exploring our creativity.

My students have been working on improving their fine-motor skills and doing a lot of hands-on activities. They worked on their writing, drawing, coloring, and crafting using the child-friendly materials included in this project.

None of this would have been possible without your help. Thank you for believing in us! And thank you for making this a fun and fabulous school year!”

  • Autism: Let's 3Doodle Away!

    Funded Feb 15, 2021

Thank you for contributing to this 3-Doodler project!

My students are having a lot of fun "working" on all of our 3-D projects. They were intrigued and engaged during our OT sessions, even as they were working on improving their fine motor and visual motor skills. It was great to reinforce these skills using a distinct medium that was new and different. The colors and textures were appealing, and the finished projects were fascinating to all who saw or touched them.

We are still creating with our 3-Doodler and we will continue to have fun doing so...all thanks to you!!

    Be well and stay safe!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Arty
