Math Is the Problem, Thinking Is the Solution
Funded Feb 8, 2023We would like to thank you for the new technology we have received. By having a new color printer, we are able to create personalized math games and resources to enhance our learning. The students are involved in helping to find and/or create resources that they find helpful. Once we decide on the resources, we are able to print them in b/w or color and laminate them for durability. In addition, having colored paper and cardstock along with a paper cutter gives the students more creativity and ownership of their work. One student said, " I feel like I'm a real creator producing an activity that many people can use and enjoy!" Even though all of the students love the new technology, the students have benefit the most of it are the English Language Learners because they can create resources in their native language and take ownership of their work along with their peers. Thank you once again for providing our students with these resources to help them achieve their goals and enjoy learning along the way!”

Math and Success Add Up!
Funded Feb 8, 2023My students were so surprised and excited when they entered my room (I bring small groups into my room) and saw the new Power Pens and math materials displayed. One student said, " I feel like it is Christmas morning seeing all these new games and materials." They love learning using math hands-on resources and playing math games. In the short amount of time that the students have been using the Power Pens and math resources such as the subtraction dominoes, their confidence and math basic skills have improved. They are excited about math and enjoy learning math now. I look forward to seeing their continued success and watching their confidence and grades improve. Thanks again for all your generosity and investment of the future of our scholars!”
