Stocking the Stacks
Funded Oct 3, 2024I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom library. Your support means the world to me and my students. Thanks to your contribution, we now have an even wider variety of books to explore, learn from, and enjoy.
Every day, my students eagerly dive into the books you've helped provide, and I have already seen a noticeable increase in their enthusiasm for reading. Your generosity has not only expanded our collection, but it has also inspired a sense of curiosity, imagination, and a love for learning that will stay with them for years to come.
Thank you for your incredible support. Your contribution is making a lasting impact on the educational journey of every student in my class. We are so grateful for your generosity, and we will continue to cherish and care for the books you have provided.”

Funded Oct 18, 2023Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! With your help, our classroom library continues to grow. Students have been excited to read the new books during our independent reading period. This is especially true for my lower-level readers who struggle to find high-interest books at their level.
We have been studying character development this year and these books are rich with character development. We did a book pass in class with these new books. Students previewed these books and then created a list of books they would like to read. Their excitement is contagious and they look forward to reading and discussing these books with their classmates.
Thank you for your generosity!”

Funded Mar 30, 2023Thank you so much for your donations! Your generosity has helped me to build my classroom library with more modern novels. We use these books for independent reading. During independent reading students choose books to read that are on their own level. The new books have been a big hit!
Some of my most reluctant readers have already finished their first book and have chosen a second. It is heartwarming and exciting to see students who normally are disengaged in reading asking if I have any more books like the one they just read. This is all thanks to your donations!
Again, thank you kindly for helping me nurture my students' interest in reading.”

Funded Apr 27, 2017I want to start by thanking you for funding my project. My students were beyond excited (and surprised!) to learn that you had fully funded our project, and that the books were on the way. After learning of your generosity they decided to "pay it forward" and do something nice for someone else. One student mowed his neighbor's lawn, another helped a neighbor with groceries. Your kindness inspired them.
These books were read as part of our after school book club. We had many great discussions about scientific discoveries as they relate to medicine, and how far is "too far" when it comes to altering a person's intelligence with science. Students maturely debated these topics, and it was interesting to see how their opinions changed as they saw some of the social struggles that Charlie endured.
I look forward to continuing my book club this year, and sharing this novel with students. I am sure that the discussions will be just as lively as last year, as we continue to learn and grow together. Thank you again for your generous gift.”

Books That Hook
Funded Mar 29, 2013Thank you all for your kindness in donating to my project - it has made such a huge impact in my classroom already! When the boxes of books arrived the students couldn't wait to get their hands on them. The variety of materials has benefited students at all levels, as there are challenging novels for the accelerated readers and high-interest novels for the reluctant readers. To see the students excitedly discussing their books and making recommendations to their peers is refreshing.
With the implementation of the new Common Core Curriculum, my classroom library was in great need of updating. Thanks to your generosity, we now have a variety of genres to choose from, and my students couldn't be happier.”
