Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you for funding this project for my students. It is so appreciated! My students had access to six chrome books by the middle of this school year. It was a big hit for my students because they were able to experience innovative online learning tools to better their academic success.
My class has implemented various online tools that have ultimately enriched my students learning. Mathematics and Language Arts have particularly flourished as a result of these chrome books. My students now have the opportunity to use online tools such as Khan Academy, Reading A-Z, RazKids and Read Works to further their understanding of the class material and apply it outside of instruction. Aside from these online programs, having access to the web has allowed my students to research and explore different materials. In our recent butterfly unit, my students were able to go on Brain Pop and You-tube to view helpful guiding materials throughout our lesson.
The look on my students' faces when they opened the chrome-book boxes was indescribable. The excitement to have a brand new piece of technology in the classroom opened their eyes to a world of endless learning possibilities. To top it off, my students love computers!! They love using learning games and enjoy having independent learning time. Their focus and interest in our class units were instantly increased with the introduction of our chrome-books.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Supplies For Creative Minds!
Funded Nov 26, 2017We are so thankful for our Supplies for Creative Minds project. My students celebrated every time a generous person donated to it until our project got fully funded. When the classroom supplies came, we unpacked, counted and organized materials to make sure everybody in the classroom knew where to find and where to return their materials.
My students felt excited, proud, and lucky to have access to plenty of materials such as permanent markers, pencils, erasers, dry erase boards, erasable markers, composition notebooks, sticky notes, folders and caddies to organize materials. My students used their pencils, markers and glue to design creative holiday cards. They were also thrilled to have enough sticky notes to write facts about the state they were researching on their US States unit. They each received a folder to organize their research papers and maps! The dry erase boards and erasable markers are a success in my classroom. Students can practice their math facts, writing words, sentences or proof read their composition independently. My diverse learners have understood so well that taking good care of their supplies and organizing them properly add to their learning skills. It makes me so happy when I see my students closing the markers and making sure to hear the "click" to ensure that they won't dry. Not only has the instruction been enriched, but their behavior has bettered significantly due to their eager to learn with these materials.
With these supplies, students have better opportunities to become more independent learners. This project has been very successful because students need classroom supplies in all academic areas daily.
Thank you for helping my diverse learners get the tools to make them more responsible and independent students!”

Stories At My Level... Oh, I Can Read!
Funded Aug 24, 2017You made it happen! Thanks to your generosity my 4th grade diverse learners got leveled non-fiction books and comfy chairs for their independent reading time. I appreciate your donation to our project. My students are overjoyed to know that there are people out there who care about their future. My students are now able to read their leveled stories independently. It's great to see that their decoding, reading fluency and comprehension are improving since they got these differentiated non-fiction texts.
My students' confidence, motivation and engagement are also increasing because they can now read stories on their own or read them to peers. Their independent reading time is the most exciting part of their day now. Also, the chairs provided thanks to your generous donation added relax to their independent reading time.
Thank you again for believing and caring for our children!”

Let's Steam Our STEM Skills!
Funded Aug 24, 2017My diverse 4th grade learners and I are truly grateful for your donation to fund our STEM (Science, Technology Engineering and Math) area. Now our science STEM center has finally come to life! My students need hands-on materials and multiple opportunities to experiment at their own pace. I see my students' manipulate, plan, build and try to find solutions to real problems using the STEM kits over and over. They get so engaged and challenged to improve their designs. My students were able to learn and explain which concepts were behind lighting a bulb or installing an alarm to their pencil box. The STEM materials helped my students to begin thinking and using science vocabulary words like real mathematicians, engineers or scientists!
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are critical areas to support our students' future leadership. My students are very curious and eager to learn. Our STEM center has sparked the love for understanding real world problems related with science such as electricity, magnetism or gravity. Once again thank you so much for your contribution to helping my diverse learners continue on the road to the love of learning.”

Fun, Fun, Interactive Math!
Funded Nov 12, 2015I want to thank you for funding this project for my students. Thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom. It is so appreciated!
My First and Second grade students are using and are benefiting a great deal from these amazing math materials. The write and wipe student clocks, and the giant magnetic number lines are excellent hands-on resources to add to my teaching resources. My students were excited to open boxes and discover that ten frame mats, 3-D shapes, and a 1-100 pocket chart kit were included in your thoughtful gift too! I know that number sense and operations are essential skills for students' overall success in mathematics. These high quality materials allow students to use multiple senses to learn. These math resources are magnetic and students can write and wipe them which allows for extensive practice of skills in a fun and interactive way. The magnetic teaching clock that was part of your kind donation is one of my students' favorite resources. Students benefit from visual and auditory representation, and this magnetic teaching clock allows my students with special needs to have a better understanding of time frames when completing academic tasks. Knowing that I have the opportunity to teach my students using concrete math materials in such a creative way this year is really exciting! These hands-on resources are an awesome way for students to build their number sense and build a deep understanding of more complex math skills. In addition, they will keep developing their love and eagerness for learning new things every day.
The next steps for my students in my classroom include presenting a modified curriculum and appropriate accommodations for my diverse learners. Your donation will be impacting the way my students process their thinking. My hope is to get my students to use these math resources to discover, express, and experience knowledge using different communication channels Along with the growth of math number sense, operations and algebraic thinking; students need to develop their overall language arts skills that include reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Math Stories Read-along included in your amazing donation, are excellent resources for students to use listening and visual representations to link math concepts with language skills and challenge their comprehension of stories that involve math concepts.
Your generosity is helping more than one hundred children in primary grades to continue their math learning process with enthusiasm and creativity.
Most of the students I work with are English language learners and all of them are students who present with diverse learning needs. All math resources that you kindly donated to my classroom make part of our daily lesson in English and Spanish. Not only will they learn about mathematics and language curriculum, they will continue practicing high classroom expectations on how to do so collaboratively, which will help them to communicate, listen, respect and share ideas. For my students, it is wonderful to feel valued for generous donors like you. They are learning how to value the perspective of others, and how to communicate theirs in both languages using different strategies. We are so grateful that you have provided us with excellent math hands-on resources to help my students to improve their creative minds. Your generosity is going to help more than one hundred children in primary grades to get motivated to continue building their mathematical foundations. Thank you so much!”

Time to Move, Time to Relax
Funded Dec 2, 2013Dear Donors,
On behalf of parents, staff and students in my classroom, I want to express gratitude to your kind and generous donation. The bean bags and trampoline that you donated have helped my students relax and move. Most of my students have a variety of motor and sensory deficits that affect their concentration and ability to engage in classroom activities. They need a balance of movement and relax time to help them to get calm and ready for instruction.
The bean bags provide for a time of relax and enjoyment. They enjoy sitting on the bean bags while using their IPads or during reading time.
My students love movement and fun, the Trampoline you donated is providing the opportunity to have fun and movement inside the classroom. When weather does not allow for recess outside, my students enjoy counting to 20 or singing the ABCs while jumping on the Trampoline. The combination of a trampoline and bean bags is perfect to address the sensory deficits of my students.
Thank you again for understanding and donating to our project.”

Mrs. Guendica
Oooh, Aaah An iPad
Funded Apr 17, 2013My13 students learn and think differently from others. They need highly motivating activities, music, movement, hands-on-activities and extra time to practice and process skills. IPad technology is for them.
Your kind donation has made it possible for my students to have access to great educational applications designed for young special education learners. The IPad technology is very attractive for my students because they can do extra practice on their own and begin to feel independent for the first time.
The IPad has been used in different ways and settings depending on each student's needs. We hooked it to the projector and use it for the whole group, with a small group or with and individual student. Any way we use the IPad, it is always a success with the kids!!!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Guendica
