Art Supplies for Students!
Funded Aug 12, 2024Thank you for your contribution to my amazing second graders. Your support has allowed my students to creativity express what they've learned across multiple subjects, making their educational experience more engaging and memorable.
With your donation of colored construction paper and Sharpie markers, my students now have access to quality art supplies. These supplies are instrumental in helping my students "show" what they have learned by turning lessons into visual expressions that shows a deeper understanding. These supplies have given them the tools to demonstrate knowledge in a way that a worksheet cannot capture.
Thank you again for making this kind and generous donation to our classroom!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Big O Tires and one other donor. One Skill, Two Skills, New Skill, More Skills
Funded Jan 1, 2024Thank you for your generous donation that provided us with new whiteboards for phonics instruction. Your support is invaluable in enhancing the learning experience for my students and helping them develop essential literacy skills.
These whiteboards have already made a significant impact in my classroom. They have become a central tool in our phonics lessons, allowing me to engage students in interactive and hands-on learning activities. With the whiteboards, I can create word-building exercises, practice phonemic awareness, and reinforce spelling patterns in a dynamic and engaging way.
The versatility of these whiteboards has been particularly beneficial. I can use them for whole-class instruction, small group activities, and even individual practice sessions. This flexibility enables me to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of my students, ensuring that each child receives the support and challenge they require to succeed.
Moreover, the visual aspect of the whiteboards has enhanced comprehension and retention among my students. By visually representing phonics concepts, such as letter-sound relationships and word families, on the whiteboards, I can make abstract ideas more concrete and accessible to learners of all levels. This visual reinforcement has led to improved mastery of phonics skills and increased confidence in reading and writing.
Beyond academic achievement, these whiteboards have also fostered a collaborative and supportive classroom environment. Students eagerly participate in interactive phonics games and activities on the whiteboards, fostering teamwork, communication, and peer learning. The whiteboards have become a focal point for cooperative learning experiences, where students can practice skills together and celebrate each other's progress.
Your generosity has not only provided us with essential teaching tools but has also inspired a sense of gratitude and appreciation among my students. They understand the impact of your donation and are motivated to make the most of these resources to enhance their learning journey.
Your generosity has empowered us to create engaging and effective learning experiences that will benefit my students now and in the future. Thank you once again for making a difference in their lives”

Listen to Learn
Funded Oct 21, 2015Thank you for your donation of listening center high interest read along books. My students love hearing the stories come alive, and I love seeing them recite the words and laugh out loud to their favorite parts.
My students have been able to focus on the reading text without interruption and hear a model of fluent reading, which also has increased their comprehension. They have listened to books that has complimented and supplemented Science and Social Studies curriculum, like books about families, weather and matter.
My Listen to Learn project has provided an opportunity for my students to hear their favorite books read aloud again and again. It has also made reading a source of pleasure and my students are eager to read!”

Math Matters
Funded Oct 17, 2014Thank you for your donation of interactive math activities for my classroom. My students love the hands-on interactive tools. Their smiles tell the story as they move from one interactive center to the next.
We are using our tools to think deeper about math concepts previously learned using an interactive format. We are refining our math skills with challenging activities and manipulatives that target Common Core State Standards.
Having challenging activities, manipulatives, and corresponding materials has enabled my students to learn and absorb the critical math concepts they will need to succeed at higher levels.”

Reading for the Future
Funded Oct 8, 2013Thank you for your donation of non-fiction books to my classroom. My students love exploring the content rich books. The photographs pique their interest and makes them want to dive into the text. My students love reading and learning more about topics that are familiar to them, like cousins and pets.
We are using our new books to further understand the features of non fiction books and increase our comprehension in Readers' Workshop. We are also using our books during reading groups to build stamina toward the increasing expectation of difficulty in grade level reading.
Having these non fiction books has given me a jump start toward increasing my students' background knowledge, increasing students' interest in informational texts and moving them to become life long learners.”
