Funded Sep 24, 2021Thank you for the donation of a new class rug for our STEAM center. Our favorite center in class is our STEAM center. This is where we do learning activities such as science, math, engineering, art and math. After classes returned from the pandemic a lot of our furniture needed to be replaced. New and cleanable surfaces to limit transmission of viruses and germs to other students were now required in all classrooms. Seeing students working in their favorite centers of the cold hard floor needed to change. It no longer looked welcoming and inviting. That is when I submitted a project for a new rug. Once approved I purchased a carpet cleaner to keep to safe for all.”

Funded Dec 1, 2020Thank you for your generous donation of 2 chairs for our classroom. During the pandemic a lot of furniture needed to be replaced in our classroom. Many chairs and comfy sitting spots were now not acceptable in our classroom environment. The comfy chairs, which were my students favorite places to work, had to be removed. That is when i submitted this project to bring in new , safe, cleanable items to our classroom. The chairs have definitely been used by my four year old's many times and have gotten dirty, but thankfully the surfaces are cleanable and safe for students again.”

Funded Dec 1, 2020Thank you for your generous donation to my Prek class. To say my students thought Santa had arrived because of their emotion is an understatement. They were so excited to see the boxes arrive with their new goodies. Thank you for helping provide my early learners with some great literacy resources. These supplies will not only benefit my students now, but will benefit students for years to come. Helping my students build a love for reading and to appreciate literature has been such a great focus. Thank you for helping give my students the best chance to build a love of reading.”

Funded Nov 21, 2020Thank you so much for your donation to our class. When our packages first arrived you would think it was Christmas morning. Your donation and help was able to provide a carpet for our class that gave everyone a chance to come together and learn in a safe and organized way. Our previous carpet had seen better years and needed to be replaced. Thanks to you, it is not only new but brightly colored and brings joy to our class. A place to meet, play games, read books , share stories , sing songs and greet our pre-k friends. This is the heart of our classroom. Thank you”

We All Deserve to See!
Funded Dec 31, 2019Thank you for funding a new classroom carpet for us. The new larger carpet allows all students enough room to be able to see the teacher. This has increased engagement and has allowed all students the same opportunities. The carpet is also large enough that it allows for students to have more space and not be too cramped together. This has been a huge focus through these years coming through a pandemic. Since I had students learning in person early that most were allowed, this has helped in multiple ways.”

Funded Apr 26, 2021Thank you for your willingness to donate to our classroom this year. The new class art center is the busiest center we have in our class. Students are so eager to go to this area and paint, color, and create different styles of art. Many students who have struggled with expression have found their voice through art. Students create art for thematic activities , new vocabulary expression and have learned new social skills by the use of this area.
Thank you for donating to our classroom art center.”

Funded Sep 4, 2019Thank you so much for supporting our classroom by funding our financial literacy activities. Thanks to you my students were able to learn about money, vocabulary, and social skills by using our new grocery store center. This has definitely been the favorite learning center for our class. Hearing all the new vocabulary and watching students interact with each other in a grocery store setting shows that this has helped my students incredibly .
Thank you for allowing my students the opportunity to have a rich environment for their learning development.”

First Year Technology Encounters
Funded Nov 25, 2018Thank you for supporting our classroom. We have been able to receive technology to help implement lessons and support to students in class as well as at home during the pandemic. Funded Sep 24, 2018The first year of a child's schooling has the power to ignite a fire or extinguish a flame. Students come into school eager to learn and be inspired to jock off their academic career. As early childhood educators, we are entrusted with the task of lighting a fire for learning that can open children's eyes to a world of possibilities. The need for STEM related careers and ability to think outside the box were the driving force behind this project. It was my goal to create a rich STEM environment for my young learners and thanks to you and your generous donation, that is exactky what happened.
When the packages arrived and I opened each box to show the students they ALL screamed and cheered with anticipation of playing in the STEM center with the new manipulative. They began to ask questions about STEM and it opened up many discussions and hands on projects. This was definitely the most popular area in our classroom. With each lesson is was able to find a way to tie in a STEM component now that the supplies were available to us.
This project is reaching more and more students every year and I am so grateful to have such wonderful contributors supply this for my students. Bejng called the "Poorest City in the United States " comes with many needs and lack of materials for our population, but thanks to you that label does not hold us back .”
