  • Writing and Counting Every Day

    Thank you so much for your generous contributions. The materials my students obtained were writing journals and ten frames. As a first grade teacher it is important to make sure I have the appropriate tools and materials for my students' learning. The writing journals have different color lines and a dotted line in the middle. This makes it easier for my students to form their letters. My first grade students are motivated to write. The ten frames are also an essential mathematical tool. They are helping my students learn and recognize numbers, add and subtract. Thank you again for your generosity.”

The sentence strips will help me teach my students how to identify letters, words and sentences. For math, the ten frames will help my students compose and decompose numbers 1 through 20. This is important since it is a 1st grade level goal. The counting tray will support students who are needing extra counting support. It will support them because it is hands-on.
