Continue to Color Our World
Funded Nov 28, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation and for supporting my classroom and my students! With the ink for the color printer, I am able to continue to make my classroom inviting, highlighting posters of scientists from all different backgrounds and experiences. I am also able to showcase my students' work on the bulletin boards and in the hallways.
Furthermore, my Green Team has been leading Climate Action Days this year and the color printer has enabled them to create and hang flyers and posters around the school to encourage the entire school community to participate!”

Funded Jan 24, 2023Thank you so much for funding my project! My students are so excited to be able to continue printing their colorful projects this year. The hallways are so much more inviting now that their projects can be displayed not just in black and white, but also in color. Having a color printer has also allowed me to print out posters of diverse scientists to fill my classroom walls so that students can be inspired to pursue science just like these individuals have. We are also able to print out graphs and diagrams in color, which have helped increase engagement in daily lessons. Thank you again for your generous donation and for helping to "color our world!"”

Funded Jun 8, 2022Thank you so much for funding this project! Having a color printer has enhanced not only my teaching, but also student productivity and success. I have been able to print out manipulatives and worksheets in color that have served as teaching resources so that students did not need to rely on the PowerPoint projected on the board in front of the classroom, but could manipulate and analyze the teaching resources right in front of them.
This project has also been very exciting for my students as they complete their marking period projects. Now, the classrooms and hallways are alive in color displaying their work. Students are taking more pride in their work and are striving to make the "wall of fame", which just keeps getting longer and more colorful! 😁”

Funded Sep 1, 2013Thank you so much for funding my project and providing my students with a subscription to ScienceWorld Magazine. My students love reading the magazine and are always asking me if the new issue has come in yet!
I have found some wonderful articles in the magazine that have fit right into the curriculum. The video resources and worksheets that scholastic provides with the magazine subscription have helped my students become more engaged and interested in many different science topics. Since we are unable to read all of the articles in class, many of my students take the magazine home in order to read the other articles. Before we had the magazines, it was difficult to get the students to read anything, but now they are asking me for the magazines to take home!
This project has definitely helped to increase my students' engagement in science topics as well as to increase my students' literacy skills. Thank you again for helping to support my students in their pursuit of academic success.”

Funded Nov 14, 2012Thank you so much for your generous donation! My students love using the document camera in the classroom. My usually shy students have begun participating more because now they are excited to showcase their work under the document camera. It has also made it so much easier to explain how to read graphs, teach reading comprehension skills, and explain step-by-step instructions for assignments and labs. The extra microscope adapter has allowed me to show the entire class exactly what they should be looking for under the microscope.
In the midst of budget cuts, your generous donations make it possible for my students to benefit from these additional resources. We thank you for making the science classroom a more exciting learning environment!”
